HAHAH! I just lost a game to the Colts with :23 left in the game. An 83 yard pass in which the pass rush was absolutely none existent. I picked Nickle/Over storm Brave and not one defender got to the qb. Manning had over 8 seconds to look for a wr and he finds Dallas Clark over the middle and runs it in after running over my lb and free safety. What bs! EA you guys totally suck! lol

Couldn't have said this better myself. Pretty much sums up how a lot of people feel.
"AHHHHH this world needs EXTREME football....
60 minute games in 15 minutes.....ahhhhhhhh
no time for strategy...we will pick plays for you!...wait pick a few you like and we will randomly pick plays from those....ahhhhh extreme.....
no time for audibles or hot routes....need more coffee and crack....EXTREME
Don't worry we'll even turbo for you and if you hold a button we will play defense for you...
EXTREME football......ahhhhhhhh
Yes......don't worry you don't need to speed up to the line of scrimmage, we will just accelerate the clock for you so you just barely have enough time to hike the ball.....ahhhhh extreme
want to put a guy in motion like the real NFL....nahhh this is extreme football we want you to press 10 buttons first....ahhhhh extreme
no time for full replays...we must move on....ahhhhh extreme....
don't worry about lining up that game winning kick....we gotta three button system like 1989....ahhhh extreme......
thanks for playing...we are EA and we must be on CRACK this year"Comment

Thanks for posting that Gun. I haven't been able to look around much the last few days, but that definitely eases my worries as this was the only aspect of the demo that really bugged me.dude...it's been mentioned EVERYWHERE.....go check twitter...or use the search engine right here in the forums.
Edit...here's tweet from Ian himself

Re: Madden NFL 11 Demo Available Now, Please Post Impressions Here
I think how the OS community recieve a game is a good indication of sales. I mean OS is made up of people who like video games so I don't see why people who like video games but aren't on OS would be so different. Just a little less serious about it.I see what you are saying. Others have said the same thing about 8. 9. 10, etc..., but OS is a small sample size.
It's not really indicative of the general gaming public. Sounds like you are rooting for it to do bad. I don't see why anyone(except people with a chip on their shoulder about the liscense still) would hope for sales to go lower from year to year. The more money they make the more they can spend on resources the following year.
Oh I am rooting for bad sales this year. No chip on my shoulder but if sales go up I would worry that they would have no incentive to upgrade franchise mode for M12. Sales going down shows EA franchise mode is important to alot of people. And I strongly disagree about more sales = more investment. Bad sales are more likely to lead to more investment to change that. We will have to wait and see. Hope you enjoy the game.Comment

Re: Madden NFL 11 Demo Available Now, Please Post Impressions Here
I finally downloaded this last night. I'm enjoying NCAA 11 so much, and after reading a lot of impressions here, I decided to just wait. Well, I understand now what people meant about hating the strategy pad. I don't like it either.
After playing this demo, I think I will pass on Madden this year. NCAA will keep me playing football all year.Comment

Re: Madden NFL 11 Demo Available Now, Please Post Impressions Here
Better sales does not lead to more investment. That's evident from the last 6 years. Like I said once before, the biggest investment EA made in Madden already happened. That is the exclusive license. It was an investment for their benefit and not so much ours. That investment allows them to make less of an investment in development. When there is nothing else pushing you to take more risk, you take almost zero risk. You can do this and be profitable short term, but eventually quality and reputation will do you in. That's what's happening now to EA Tiburon. That's why they will do whatever means necessary to hold onto that license. I'm not rooting for anything except for another company to be able to make an NFL game. Those who enjoy Madden should be able to have their game of choice just like I should be able to have mine.I think how the OS community recieve a game is a good indication of sales. I mean OS is made up of people who like video games so I don't see why people who like video games but aren't on OS would be so different. Just a little less serious about it.

Re: Madden NFL 11 Demo Available Now, Please Post Impressions Here
Ok I have played the demo quite a few times now with both teams. Not once have I seen anybody bite on a play action play.
Anybody seen it?
Manning had the best PA rating in M10 but in the demo he hasn't fooled anybody.Comment

To play devils advocate here..sacked multiple times lol

video i made
1.) The Jets have the best defense in the game
2.) The Colts O-Line actually isn't THAT good..in real life or on the game. Jeff Saturday is rated high, and I think the RT is, but everyone else, especially the guards (where you seemed to be getting beat the most, especially RG) are rated in the low 70s
3.) you were calling playaction fakes in situations that didn't make sense. You weren't able to run the ball at all so no D is gonna bite just due to that, but also you get stuffed on first down so you go ahead and call a playaction pass on 2nd and 10..of course the D aint gonna bite theyre just gonna pin their ears back and come at you
4.) i do agree it looked pretty cheesy regardless..but still, it IS all-madden, which in theory is designed to be next to impossible to beat. It's the hardest level for a reason, thats what sliders are for.turn my swag onComment

Re: Madden NFL 11 Demo Available Now, Please Post Impressions Here
dude, ^^^, the oline looks crap, like you say, but it IS All-Madden. there's no point in having the top-difficulty sliders not be harder than what is fair.
you should do this again with All-Pro and see if the o-line breaks down like that.
or, if you manipulate sliders, make everything 50-50 (you, cpu).
so, i'm not sure this is the best example of what you're trying to prove but i think the game is looking like not much of an improvement.Comment

Re: Madden NFL 11 Demo Available Now, Please Post Impressions Here
That video is the perfect example of why All-Madden is completely nonsensical. Honestly, I have no idea why anyone would ever want to play on that level as it makes the game so biased in favor of the CPU.Streaming PC & PS5 games, join me most nights after 6:00pm ET on TwitchTV https://www.twitch.tv/shaunh20

Re: Madden NFL 11 Demo Available Now, Please Post Impressions Here
Yes, many times, and usually as the Jets after several successful runs. In fact, most of my big passing plays as the Jets have occurred on PA passes.
Nothing with Manning yet, but I've yet to have any success running with the Colts.Comment

Re: Madden NFL 11 Demo Available Now, Please Post Impressions Here
Not sure what was more disturbing. The PA problems or the amount of time Sanchez sat back there at the 5:29 mark. That was awful. That should NEVER happen in ANY NFL game.Comment
