I'm sure Brennan is a good kid but I honestly never saw reason for the love he got. I'm surprised the Ravens gave up Beck for so little but I think the alternative was to let Beck or Smith go so even some bum that provides depth at a VERY weak position right now is better than nothing.

Aside from the time he got kicked out of school for trying to rape a girl.

He got kicked off of a Gary Barnett team.

i will take it. don't particularly like beck, but couldn't stand colt. if trading for beck is what it took to get rid of colt, i am all for it. fans always want the backup in there, until he is and you realize why he was a BACK UP. that being said, i'd rather made a deal for troy smith, but i will take what i can get...

So how do you guys feel about Carter and Alexander playing OLB? I can see Carter doing alright but I just cant see Lorenzo playing anything but the line.

I think Carter will do alright..they said Lo has looked in OTA's and traning camp..so I guess it's a wait and see thing. I just hope we get more turnovers on defense and maybe some pick 6's..haven't had one since 2007

Brandon Banks looked great last night taking kicks back for us. I heard he is faster then Chris Johnson. We should keep he could be value for us.

he is NOT faster than chris johnson. he may be quicker, not faster. johnson ran a 4.2X at the combine, banks a 4.4X, BIG difference. i do think he can be a difference maker in the return game for this team, something they have desperately needed since b-mitch left. i am rooting for the dude too, to be that small and get out there against the giants, gotta love that. i think he can help in the slot at wr too actually, get him off the line and move him around so he can get loose on the defense. he seemed way more comfortable returning kicks than anyone else on the roster last night. he will have to make the roster though, no practice squad. after last night if they try that another team will snatch him up in a heartbeat. btw, it helps his cause that shanahan has already basically said he is keeping 6 wr's. that probably means only 2 qb's (i hope, since i don't believe in beck at this point and rex is an ok back-up)...

They even said it in the game last night. Banks was raced against Johnson and has beat him twice (they didn't specify the number of times they raced). And you can't look at the 40's because Banks pulled his hammy 25 yards in his, but still managed a 4.4.

He would have been faster if he didn't pull his hammy.

I'm glad that Devin put some nice catches on film. I really hope that he can get up the depth chart and be a player this season.

Overall, it was a nice game for skins fans, something to get the masses excited about. I liked what I saw, but Donovan still threw a few to many balls in the dirt for my liking. CP looked good you can tell he seems to have regained some of his burst back as far as hitting the hole. Should be interesting to see them going forward.

never heard this. i guess i stand corrected then. surprised that even at his size he wasn't drafted if he is indeed that fast? he still put up monster return numbers at k-state so i'd expect him (hope for him) to make the team as a return specialist/slot wr...
