No, I think they should make a game that we can customize anyway that we want. They need to have 32 teams, a playoff structure, contracts, etc. Basically everything they did for 2k5 and just make the teams generic and let the roster makers around here change everything. UFL has no draw to anyone.

I think it could work as a network download, but not as a disc.

I wish they'd just re-release 2K5 with the NFL stripped of course, and give us a great uniform editor. That's what I was expecting APF to be and boy was I let down. Good game, great gameplay, but 2K5 was just so much greater of a total package.

I have never been a big 2k fan but at this point I really wish they were still around.

Ufl has 5 teams right now but going to have 6 teams next year and I'm just saying this because we don't know when the next 2k football game is coming out and if NFL has a lockout year most NFL players will probly join the ufl

How about the CFL? I'd bet 2k could pull customers to this brand if done like 2k5, but better.

Heck, if Backbreaker can sell with generic everything, why not a 2k-style CFL game? With no worries of the NFL saying "you can't do that, we'll sue!"

Yeah, the CFL would be better. No one gives a crap about the UFL. The CFL has been around for a long time and they have a history behind them. Hey, vintage rosters with Warren Moon on Edmonton winning 5 straight Grey Cup Championships. NICE!

I definitely wouldn't mind if they made a CFL game.

                    2k will ask the question:

Will sales justify a customizable game? Will they justify a CFL/UFL/etc game?

And I have a feeling they will come to the conclusion of... No.

You are probably right. But, they should come out with a football game soon or they risk being infamous for 2K5 forever. APF, imo, was something made to hold us over for a year or two until they could make a complete game on the new consoles. But, that never happened. Don't get me wrong APF 2K8 is still better than Madden has been lately but it doesn't have the replay value of 2K5 and frankly, it gets old after a while. 2K5 is still just as fun to play 6 years later. 6 years! Holy crap. I have never played one video game continuously for this long, EVER! Either 2K Sports needs to come with a fully customizable football game with some sort of franchise mode or Madden needs to get rid of that sorry looking engine that doesn't look sim to me at all.

Good idea, so long as they don't get sued by the NFL claiming they still hold the name licenses.

Just stick to the CFL current players. Sounds weird, but even though I've never watched a CFL game, I know about it. (I.e. the wider field, three downs only, etc.)

2k can really do wonders if they choose to. Add a franchise mode this time, unlike APF, and I'd bet people like me who aren't familiar with the CFL would be intrigued....

You are probably right. But it would be cool to see that CFL 110-yard field with the rounded end zones in a video game.
