Re: Madden NFL 11 Q&A (PS3) - Steve_OS
Ah, good one.
I thought it was just me. Like in Madden 10, I felt that the Madden 11 demo made rushing from the left side easier than the right.
I really hope that pass rushing in general is improved, but going by the demo, it looks like pass blocking is even stronger......is this the case, Steve?Comment

Yes, I was afraid of this in the demo. But in the retail, I'm getting more time, if I'm balancing the run and the pass. If I'm not balanced or my running game isn't doing much, I'm not doing much in the PA game either. I'm leaning toward the "not enough" time on PA tho... the more I play. Still too early to judge.Comment

Thought I'd ask one more question if you don't mind; How much of an improvement is the retail version of the game over the demo? Any noticeable differences?
EDIT: Oops, nevermind. Didn't realize Jesus asked a similar question to mine.Last edited by BlueNGold; 08-02-2010, 07:20 PM.Originally posted by bradtxmaleI like 6 inches. Its not too thin and not too thick. You get the support your body needs.

Notice Gus Johnson and the commentating sometimes completely disappears on plays, which sucks. Nothing like a long bomb TD, w/o a peep from Gus.
I mean Gus is good for the game, but the timing of the audio he brings, just doesn't fit right. I think the programming of when audio hits, needs to be improved on. Just because you have a big name, if it doesn't go w/ the flow of the game, it just doesn't feel right, ya know?
But again, it is an improvement over the boring Hammond, but I expected more.Comment

Didn't really have time to dig into it, but off of a quick peak, it really seemed to be the same as last year... But again, that was based off of a quick peek. If I have time, I'll check into it more.Comment

Well, I didn't like the demo on the PS3, because it was too sluggish and choppy. Didn't have that problem w/ the 360 demo. That alone makes the gameplay better, because there is nothing worse than having choppy frames when playing a football game.Comment

Simming a season, he seems to be quite beastly. Being a Cowboys fan, trying to use him on my own to get pressure, however... I can get to the QB, but rarely do I get the sack. QB always seems to get rid of it at the last second. I have a few sacks w/ him, but I'd like to see more, obviously.
Question
1. Is Carolina Panthers SB 38 Jersey in the game as a option for them to play in?Comment

I can't shave with my eyes closed, meaning each day I have to look at myself in the mirror and respect who I see.
I miss the old days of Operation Sports :(

AI seemed to score more in the demo, but that is probably due to the fact that I am more used to the controls now.Comment

Well I hope this is something Ian and Phil can look into to patch it. Avg sacks per team per NFL game is about 3 sacks. Even the worst team in the NFL on a yearly bases avg atleast around 25 to 28 sacks a year. I think this needs to be look at and address to be honest. I had blitzes coming from manning blind side in the demo and he would throw the ball right as I got to him. That kind of worries me some. I want to see more sacks in a game. I don't want to see any team just 6 sacks per game. I just want to see be able sack the AI QB a little more then usual. They need to find a balance in there some where.

Are the graphics a lot better than in the demo? Also, do elite players stand out more in games? Kind of worries me that you say Dline gets most of the pressure. Dallas is a 3-4, so why aren't the LB's getting all the pressure? Do uniforms get dirty in snow and rain?Have an awesome day!!Comment

Pressure from the LB or DL isn't really an issue, getting sacks is. Because just when you think you have one registered, the AI QB has released it.Comment
