I seem to overthrow my WR in the demo too often. And the WR doesn't even look up or back to see if the ball is coming his way. Is it just me or does this happen too much?

Re: Madden NFL 11 Demo Available Now, Please Post Impressions Here
I kept gettin sacked too much,so I ran a bunch of quick passes of all sorts, they all seem to be a little too easy. If you run a route where there's two parallel routes at different depths, I'll get hit as I throw to the deeper WR and whoever's underneath will catch it. It's weird, because the ball should be nowhere near low enough for a guy 5 yards closer to the throw to catchComment

He only rushed 2 linemen on that play. Try some zone blitzes in the dime package or something. Running velcro 9 is just asking for the qb to get all day to find the open receiver. No images in your sig, thanks.

Re: Madden NFL 11 Demo Available Now, Please Post Impressions Here
Alright, i'm not sure if anybody else feels the same way but I was not too impressed.
Before the ball is snapped the crowd is dead quite, then once it's snapped they start cheering. It just doesn't deliever an actual football atmosphere.
I thought gameplay was to slow and everyone seemed about even speed
My biggest problem is the broken tackles, I was playing my friend on All-Pro and he is constantly breaking 1-2 tackles with Mark Sanchez on rollouts. He even did a fake punt and ran for the first with his punter after breaking a Dwight Freeney tackle.
But all in all, if they fix these things then the game will be great as always, that's just my 2 cents.Comment

I've been really hard on Madden since it hit next gen systems.
I sold Madden 10 a week after I bought it. Rented 09, 08 and 07.
So typing this is strange for me. I have to admit. I am liking this demo.
No, the game isn't perfect. But this is by far the best football I've played this generation. I think EA is on the right track.
I'm sorry but I don't see anything wrong with the strategy pad. Having everything on basically one button just makes sense to me. All they need to do is patch how quickly the computer snaps the ball and I'll be happy.USSML CommissionerComment

I got to play the demo more over the weekend, and I've got to say that I'm really looking forward to the retail version. I know I'm in the minority here, but I like the way the game "feels" even better than NCAA. IMO, the controls are a little tighter than NCAA and the game "feels" a lot better with the locomotion animations than Madden 10. I do not have a problem with a lot of the issues that people have brought up re: strategy pad, kick/punt returns, kick meter, franchise (lack of) updates.Comment

Does anyone find kick returns way too easy? I was hoping they would make them a little harder after the absurdity of Madden 10 with regards to kick returns. I get a kick return TD almost every game and I've played on both All-Pro and All-Madden.Comment

New level of ridicule for me personally with the ridiculous speed the opposing D gets to your QB. Just had Mark Sanchez not even have time to hand the ball off to Greene on a dive play before getting sacked. Even more infuriating watching the replay and seeing a big fat hole open up exactly where Greene was supposed to run through.Yeah.Comment

I don't know if this has been asked before but has anybody played both the ps3 and 360 versions of the demo? Are there any differences for or against either version?
I am undecided on which console to buy it for. I like both controllers and have been playing NCAA 11 on the 360 and love it, but my ps3 has been collecting dust the last several months and I am trying to find some game to get some use out of it.Comment

I don't know if it's just me, but this is the second demo (TW11) in the last while that's had horrible sound quality. Other than that, I really enjoy the demo, but like TW11, the sound quality really surprised me. I definitely expected better from EA Sports.Comment

Downloaded the demo, played about 4-5 games...I just see absolutely no difference between this version and last year's version (which I liked for the most part). Honestly, if someone put both games in and didn't tell you which one you were playing, I don't think you'd be able to tell the difference. If there are improvements, they are very small and incremental.
I admit that the coordinators telling you about the plays in your headset is pretty cool, but by the 2nd game I went right back to calling all my own plays...I mean, 90% of the fun for me in playing a football game is the strategy (or strategery) of playcalling. Take that away, and it's basically NFL Blitz...
Gonna have to say "pass" this year...Comment
