Re: NCAA Football 11 Patch #2 Update (EA Sports Blog)
It's too late for you. Your recruits have already been generated. You might as well go through this season.Yea so Im at the point in the 3rd year of my Dynasty in the Pre-season. I am not going to touch my Dynasty until that patch comes so i can finally recruit some decent football players. If someone comes in at a 70, It is not a unreasonable expectation to be a 85-90 when they Leave...Comment

Re: NCAA Football 11 Patch #2 Update (EA Sports Blog)
I will more than likely just re-start my dynasty anyway....Why not? Its not like the ones who have gotten to years 4-5 or more actually played every game. So your not losing anything. Just sim a new season to where you were at.
And IMHO, EA did a great job with NCAA11...issues and all...They are fixing it. Whats 2 weeks anyway? I got plenty to keep me occupied til then with work, family etc. There are other games as well....Its still summer...The weather hasbeen great ...enjoy it. Plenty of ti8me to play with a patched game thats already 10x betterthan last year WITH the issues.Last edited by SA1NT401; 08-03-2010, 04:14 PM.Comment

This is my line of thinking as well. It's just a video game folks, they fixed progression last year, they will fix it again this year. And when they do, this game will own my soul.I will more than likely just re-start my dynasty anyway....Why not? Its not like the ones who have gotten to years 4-5 or more actually played every game. So your not losing anything. Just sim a new season to where you were at.

You can express your opinions and issues, as long as you do it constructively and on par with our rules here at operation sports.Originally posted by Redd313wow i thought this was a spot where real gamers could express their issues about the games and not be bothered by jerks!Comment

Re: NCAA Football 11 Patch #2 Update (EA Sports Blog)
We're going to have to see what they fix, but it seems that the main issue is the incoming recruits. That, and the cpu recruiting logic (hording players at positions they don't need, and not going after positions they do need and having walkons instead)Comment

Re: NCAA Football 11 Patch #2 Update (EA Sports Blog)
Well, it could go either way, really. Either progression has to go through the roof every season to get these 40 OVR players into a serviceable 80-90 range by the time they graduate, or the recruits need to come in higher. Personally I am hoping for the latter.
And either way, the guy is past the training part, too, so he might as well continue on.
I will not be restarting because I HAVE played every game, and I don't want it to be all for nothing. I can take having two lame duck classes to keep going.Comment

Thanks, my friend, it is good to be back after 4 years in Arkansas. Though watching Darren McFadden for two years wasn't so bad . . . I'm with you, though, on the Griz. A lot of quality graduated last year. They are pretty good at reloading, but there are more questions marks than usual about the team this year.Comment

Re: NCAA Football 11 Patch #2 Update (EA Sports Blog)
Aaah, Jeff, it's been a few yearsI wish the actual fans had a website where we could speak freely about our thoughts of games instead of being muzzled by EA kissasses. In my opinion, "Constructive Critizism" is code for "censorship of any anti-EA opinions." That said, aside from progression I'm really enjoying the game thus far. The gameplay itself has taken a big step forward. If dynasty was something tacked on I don't think people would be complaining since it's obvious that 99.9% of the developers' time was spent on improving the gameplay. However this is 2010 and there is no reason why something as simple as progression should not be working. If I wasn't getting Madden from Amazon for $29.19 that preorder would've been cancelled weeks ago.
I'm with you on the 2010 business. I asked the same thing... how does this sort of thing happen, where this feature works for years. It works, this sort of stuff doesn't happen. Then ... one year, for some reason, when everything else comes together, it stops working.Last edited by Rebel10; 08-03-2010, 05:23 PM.Comment

Re: NCAA Football 11 Patch #2 Update (EA Sports Blog)
Wow - this is why I never buy these sports titles until at least a month after they come out. What a joke. Don't we go through this crap with almost every sports title? Glad I held out temptation to buy the game when it released.Comment

Re: NCAA Football 11 Patch #2 Update (EA Sports Blog)
OS can ask people to do/say conduct themselves in any manner they wish, it's a pvt site...
As to the political ramifications, I think everyone's better for having OS a place where devs come, even if they don't post interact.
I think a 2nd patch is pretty standard stuff in this day and age, but I know I still feel frustration when the game doesn't work like it should out of the boxComment

Sorry guys, just trying to get this thread back on track.
I'd love to see the patch come out sometime before the release of Madden. Do any of you think this is possible?Comment
