I can't envision a scenario in which the NBA ever returns to Vancouver. If theres such a thing as scorced earth in regards to expansion/relocation that is it.

None of the above. There are enough teams as it is and probably too many since there really are only 4-5 teams capable of winning a title this year.

The league needs to contract as is.

Once you get to the 1970's there has never been a time when there were more than 4-5 teams, if that many, capable of winning a title. The NBA is and always has been a very top heavy league and there has very rarely been an equal amount per conference, one conference has always been the varsity while the other was JV.

The NBA shouldn't expand but if a team relocates it should be to Seattle. Vegas is an interesting situation. It is essentially in the middle between the Suns and Lakers territory. The people that can afford courtside season tickets can probably just fly to LA to be part of the "experience" that is Lakers games. But in order of markets I would go to or try it goes: 1. Seattle 2. Las Vegas and 3. St.Louis. I don't really see any other market that it could work in.

None of those seem like good NBA markets. Although I would love to see Seattle get the Supersonics back.

As somebody has said, we already have enough teams though. There's no reason to expand and dilute the talent even more. We will just start seeing more mediocre and rebuilding teams.

Okay instead of the "we already have enough teams" answer because I totally agree that the NBA has enough teams as we speak but how about the "which one of these cities do you want to see have an NBA team" answer instead?

                  NHL: Dallas Stars

StL is a baseball town, there's even been previous talk of the Rams moving, not a surprise...if I had to pick, I guess Seattle. Horrible choices though, of course jmho.

                      Winnipeg.

In seriousness though, I picked Seattle. Don't think they should have lost their team in the first place.

Since I'm too young to remember the NBA's attempt at having a team in Vancouver (only thing I do remember is Steve Francis pulling bitch move and not wanting to play for the Grizz), I wouldn't mind seeing them go back there just to have another team in Canada. But it would probably fail horribly, just like last time.

Also, I agree about the league needing to downsize. Both the NBA and NHL have too many teams.

I wonder if Pittsburgh would want a basketball team.

Heisley bought the team with the intent to move the team out of Vancouver. It was so obvious...Fans stopped going to the games. Memphis is still losing money now anyways.

That and the Canadian dollar was horrible back then. Oh and the Grizz front office was a joke.

Seattle without a doubt, but I'd rather it be relocation than expansion.
