I'm playing Super Bowl 45 on all-pro so I can dominate and lead the Pack to a victory over the Ravens. (My actual prediction for the super bowl this year)

Doing that is like skipping directly to the end of a movie.

First thing I usually do with sports games is check the rosters to make sure everything is more or less accurate (the team I will use in franchise mode has to be 100% accurate)

ill prob go through all the rosters, check out what madden moments there are, and then start an eagles giants game in the snow and then an eagles cowboys game in clear weather then hit practice mode

Edit all player ratings by lowering them by 5-15 pts...I dont want a TON of 90++ players. Max i will allow is 25 in the entire league. The rest not worthy get a 5-10 pt drop.

I will also adjust team rosters and do a bunch of slider tweaks....But this could change by mid-september when i actually pick it up. Gonna wait for the 1st patch before i buy.

I will play a few quick play now games using the Patriots, Titans, Cardinals, then into franchise mode

Play 4 or 5 Exhibition games with 2 really good teams to figure out:

-Display Setting preferences
-Sound preferences
-Read up here to get "realistic" CUSTOM sliders for season mode.
-Shake off the rust and learn the controls.
-Report any major bugs I come across.


After messing around for a couple days I'll then start my "Serious" franchises with;

-The Patriots
-The Broncos
-And I like to "re-build" and challenge myself with a lousy team. Last year I did KC. This year I might do the Browns, the Lions, or the Bucs.

Probably sign the free agents that have been signed so far if no roster update is provided on day 1 or 2

I'm not too far off what kpkpkp does...I like to do a few 'play now' games to even out the difficulty/sliders if I need to, then fire up a 'practice' Seahawks franchise and play through that for a while until the final preseason/first regular season roster update, then I start my 'real' Seahawks franchise, the one that I'll run with.

Unless something major happens in the league (or to the Seahawks roster), I just go with it. I don't restart franchises with roster updates after that, usually.

Practice mode to see if I want to stick with the Niners default playbook or switch to the West Coast playbook. And then it's Franchise time.
