I'm excited about this game, but I have some concerns. That looked nothing like Ron Artest. That looked like a low flying Michael Jordan. We are seeing these exciting video's a few months before the release, shouldn't this game be close to done by now? It just seems like they are just starting to get 5 on 5 play going.

Same with 2K, where we've seen nothing but Jordan frames. It just seems like there is going to be a rush
to finish for both games this year. I have a feeling 2K is going to be the same game but better, which is good, but it won't be next gen. Next year 2K is going to have to overhaul. I don't think they are going to have Elite's innovation this year. But I thik Elite will be releaseing a broken game.

I'm totally going off intuition and following these two games more than any other every year. This is always my favorite game decision every year.

Though the games are in fact likely nearing the end of the development cycle, it is indeed too early for either game to be releasing full-fledged videos. Typically they'll wait just a little bit longer before they feel comfortable and confident enough to release extended footage. I know it's tough not to put too much weight into the small clips we've all seen thus far but I do not believe we've seen enough to develop a true sense of how the game will be represented in each series this year.

I know that. That was the point. I hope they're not just stereotyping every big man as automatically not having dribbles. Because there are some big men (Gasol for example) that can dribble like a point guard. The face up game is a huge part of his arsenal, and his ability to put the ball on the ground and use his ball handling skills to blow by defenders. I'm just worried that ball control would be more similar to all big men across the board (hopefully i'm wrong).

But we're on the same page though.

              1. Ratings aren't even in the game yet.
              2. The video was captured because this was so rare.
              3. It'll be even rarer with ratings in.

              etc, etc.
Funny thing is....the man in the video is not saying....."I would like to show you this clip b\c its a capture of a rare play that happens in the game"....He said that this is a display of the games physics engine....

I think thats where alot of confustion and IMO well aimed concern is coming from...

Artest flying to the rim like vintage Dr.J is ridiculous IMO. And is it me or was Rasheed going to fall to the ground? seems like he warped to standing up position after the contact

NBA players do not stare at the crowd when someone goes in for a ferocious dunk. Make this more realistic before release.
That was the problem with the game last year. The players seem like they have absolutely no awareness. So many countless times I was able to pass the ball right across a defenders face and the defender would just stand there without a care in the world...no reaction wat so over..

And it also looks like they haven't gotten rid of the herky jerky player movements. >_>
It's weird seeing guys warp speed when they grab rebounds, block shots or dunk

I just cant wait for this game to drop.

                        vid1
the way ray allen gathered was good. also to see that everyone on the court had eye on the ball and where it was. shows awareness.

                        vid2
the backboard block was cool especially to show that it was now possible and not an empty promise,

                        vid3
this is the vid that cemented a pre-order. that entire clip was driven by physics letting me know that dunk ons will vary everytime we see them. infinite highlights anyone?

Hey Reanimator, Just a quick question, on the Artest dunk, I know this is only minor, but can you notice the rim itself continue to move after Artest had let it go. Is this how it is supposed to be? It shouldnt be moving after he has let it go. Maybe a fix for next year, you probably wont even notice while playing.

question for Reanimator are the shooting charts going to be a visible part of the 5 on 5 game or is it up to the user to learn a players shot release during practice mode, worried that it may become to easy to hit shoots if you have something basically telling you when to release the perfect shoot, or will it be optional.

The shot HUD will only be up in practice mode. There will be no HUD in 5v5 gameplay.

So yes, you will have to learn the timing yourself.

Oh, and the HUD will be up in replay so you can go back and see what you did right or wrong.
