Well now that we have entered August the true MLB The Show players have stuck around. I'm sure a lot of you have some great franchises going, and I'd like to hear about them.
Right now, I'm in 2011 with the Pirates. We are actually playing ok, I can't remember the record but we are 9 games out of first place from the Cardinals, and in the midst of an important series against them.
My only transaction in 2010 was for Matt Garza, a bold move I needed, because really overall my team is awful. If you look at the stats we are worst or close to in so many categories, but somehow we have squeezed out a bunch of close wins. Garrett Jones is my go-to-guy on offense, with 26 homers and we are in the first week of August in the franchise. Jose Tabata, who was called up in May, is batting .339 and has also been very clutch. Garza has been great on the mound with only 1 loss since coming over in June. Dotel has been solid from the pen'. I will update you guys how things are going....
