Post your updates about how your Franchise is doing, any big trades or signings etc.

I simmed the first year of my Rams franchise to get to the offseason. I finished 5-11, good enough for the 5th pick of the draft. I traded that pick and Laurent Robinson to the Eagles for their 8th pick and a linebacker. I picked up fake FS Ben Wells who turned out to be a 78. I thought it worked for me, as I needed more depth on the defensive end, and already had 6 WR on the roster.

Running a Lions chise in week #5 sitting at (2-2) with losses to GB and Min.

Week 4 Javid Best took over starting spot from Kevin Smith after failing to produce anything and Jahvid blew up going for 200+ yard rushing and caught a couple. Stafford is looking good with 7TDs and 4INTs throwing for 1000+ yards already, Ndamukong Suh is as pormised and is holding it down in the middle...

I restarted my bills franchise and moved a lot of players year 1

Out-whitner, lynch, stroud, schobel, evans

In- mack, davis, hughes, morgan, clausen

I went back to a 4-3 with hughes manning one spot he is monstertown in this game 12.5 sacks as a rookie.

I didn't add any fa and hit paydirt with every single draft pick, got my franchise lt, a monster guard, fb, 2wr, 2de, cb, fs, olb all A potential one de was an 89 as a rookie

Rookie wr shawn nelson rookielt levitre mack wood davis josh morgan clausen rookie fb spiller

On d rookie de kyle williams dwan edwards hughes maybin poz rookie olb mckelvin byrd rookie fs rookie cb

Depth is an issue and I need better dts and a better olb but I'm in year 2 and 3-0

Using my Broncos, in year 1. Haven't made any offseason moves that Denver didn't make in real life. Playing on all madden and starting Tim Tebow. So far I'm 5-0, and the only real close game was vs Indy but I still won by 10.

I'm grooming Dennis Dixon to be the new QB. Right now I'm playing Hasselbeck but looking for any excuse to put Dixon in.

Traded for T.J. Ward from the Browns and released a few bad contracts like Julius Jones, Chris Cole, and Chris Baker

Other than that, I got my base lineup. 0-1 after playing the 49ers and losing in overtime. I went for it on 4th and 5 from my own 25 and failed. I made the risk just because I kinda wanted to lose to get a higher draft pick at the end of the year. Tate and Butler are tearing it up in the slots.

I like the Eagles playbook, it's got some Mike Vick plays which I'll use with Dixon, and plenty of creative pass plays.

Right now I'm just fiddling with the sliders trying to get an ideal experience, while I'm improving at the game as well.

Playing a Packers chise, I traded for Dez Bryant since Driver is on the verge of retirement. Then I wound up with an 89 rated WR out of the draft.

I also noticed the Bears traded away Cutler and wound up with Tebow....

What did you trade for Dez Bryant? I'm curious......

EA needs to make franchise players un-trade-able. Yeah, I know, Donovan McNabb.

BUT, I have not seen a team trade there 1st rd pick (insert player name) of that year to another team for a player or a draft pick.

I got him for a 1st and 4th.

This was actually after the first season and Dez didn't play that much for the Cowboys his first year for some reason. With Driver a year away from retiring, and Nelson and Jones not progressing well I needed a true number 2 alongside Jennings.

I got a steal with that second round WR.

i dont know if i would call dez bryant untradable. he wasnt a top 5 pick or anything. if things go poorly in Dallas and he turns out to be this diva that everyone seems to think he is, i could see bryant being had for far less than that after 2-3 years.

youre right as far as this not typically happening in real life, but i think andre smith could get the boot in Cincy(after one year) if they can even find a trade partner, and smith a much higher pick than dez bryant. this is why i would like to see a personality trait in madden. guys with unpredictable personalities wouldnt be as hard to aquire as leaders or role players who know their role and go to work every day.

Has anyone tried using all 32 teams in their Franchise (though only playing with 1). It sounds like this is usually the way to go to make certain players stick with their teams, and keep trading fair. Obviously, you have to restrain yourself when it comes to trading. I think a good rule of thumb is to give up one more pick than you think would be necessary IRL. And of course to not look at the rosters of the team you will be trading with while "owner" of that team, so the Potential rating remains hidden.

Just wondering if there is anything new added to help in this area.

I controll al 32 teams and one thing that's changed is this year once you make changes to CPU or USER controll make sure to back out to main chise screen and then use (RB) button to change teams and then you can have the CPU controll the 31 teams you aren't going to play as, also works for coaching schemes as well...

I restarted my Lions Chise, with some updated sliders and new draft classes from NCAA.

Haven't played my game yet but looking forward to getting home and knocking out a few weeks

Went undefeted on all madden with the Vikings and got my boy another ring before he retired :wink:
