Calling all dynasty mode junkies!!!! (idea's for NCAA 12)

I want to start a thread that maybe EA will look at and take notice. I would to get started by saying I want to hear what other dynasty mode lover's would like to see in dynasty mode in NCAA 12.

    Here is my list:

    1. Playable spring game which includes the freshman that you signed.
    2. East vs West game (playable)
    3. HS All-America game which can be playable or watched that in included the top incoming freshmen.
    4. Also please bring back position drills like they was back a couple years ago back. Passing Tree, Option alley ( I think that was the name of it.) etc... That can be used to improve your team/players.
5.Hold tryouts which you can control each player that is trying out or trying to win a starting spot.

That all I have on the top of my head right now. I will update the list when I can think of some more.

    Upgradeable facilities, stadium, etc.

Player discipline...which used to be in the game.

    Custom playbooks.

    Coaching carousel.

    In-season progression.

...just off the top of my head.

Some of these mentioned already are on my wishlist,

      Bringing back the training games,

Discipline and program integrity, (ain't that right USC?)

      MEDICAL REDSHIRTS...

We need full rosters with the option to active and deactivate each game week

Be able to customize every teams uniforms over the course of a dynasty like in madden, they change all the time in real life(see Oregon)

Love the list however if you're going for realism, freshman should NOT be involved in the spring game. They're still in high school at the time a spring game gets played.

Perhaps JUCO's can be included though.

I do think that the Summer Drills feature should make its return. They would especially be good with this year's low overall ratings system with freshman.

Also not a big fan of the discipline aspect. Didn't really seem to work right in the versions of the game it used to be in.

Actually...if anything, you've got this completely backwards. Many times incoming freshmen get their coursework done so they can graduate early just to be on campus for spring training.

On the other hand, generally speaking, JUCO's have to complete the spring semester at their junior college before they're academically eligible to transfer. In order to transfer from JUCO, you have to actually graduate JUCO, and you're in JUCO in the first place because you weren't academically eligible straight out of high school.

Anyway, that said... if you're bringing back player discipline... it should play a role in recruiting. If you're recruiting a guy who has academic problems, maybe there's a chance he commits to you, but ends up not being academically eligible then has to go to JUCO... and if you're REALLY paying attention, you might see that same guy in two years as a JUCO recruit (and if he committed to you but didn't qualify, you should have a head start recruiting him when he pops back up).

I don't know what college you're referring to but every one one I know of and the one I played & later coached on, freshman didn't arrive until early August and practiced on their own for a few days before the vets joined following that.

I am no expert on JUCO prospects though so I'll concede that but what you're describing for freshman is pretty rare.

I like it, it just needs to be a lot more rare. I'm talking maybe once or twice a season.

Uhm... it doesn't really happen super often, but it does happen.

Seems like I mostly hear about it from big time QB prospects or offensive linemen, generally the most intelligent players on the team, when it comes to classes.

This was just the first story I found in a google search:

I remember by the time I finished my junior year in high school, I only had one required credit to graduate. Essentially, these guys go to school the fall semester of their senior year and knock out everything they need to graduate (while playing their last high school football season). In January, the enroll with the university they're going to attend, start taking classes and start going to spring practice.

I don't know an exact percentage of how often this happens, but if I had to guess, just based on how often I hear these kinds of stories, I'd say maybe about 5% of all recruits graduate high school early so they can get spring enrollment and start getting ready to play college football.

And along these same lines with player discipline, just as some should be at risk of being ineligible and going to JUCO, a small percentage should have a chance to graduate HS early in order to get on campus for the spring training, and thus get a bigger training boost than the other freshmen.
