I did this and am quite surprised at how good it plays!! Very competitive as well. Def not seeing robo qb on either side.

The tuner and the patch are separate, correct? The patch downloaded last night when I hooked my system to the internet. How do I know that the new tuner downloaded as well?

Since the 2nd patch I actually see more times where the HB will not cut it outside and they still cover the ball up a ton. This was with tackling at conservative too.

I'm sure this has been mentioned before, I'm not finding it anywhere but somebody else has to be experiencing this...

Did it seem like the patch only fixed for one game and then stopped working? The first game I played after the patch went great...I noticed some of the patch details in game clearly. Ever since that game, I have noticed everything going back to the way it was pre-patch.

Pretty disgusting that a patch is needed for a patch.

Just thought I'd throw it out in case it hadn't been mentioned; tried to look through the whole thread, but started skimming after a while so I may have missed a previous post.

          XBOX 360 by the way.

Never heard of that and not experiencing it. You might want to clear your cache and re-download the patches and tuner sets.

I don't know if it was a "stopped working" issue, but I have noticed a couple things from the patch notes not working like they said they would.

RBs are NOT taking the ball outside more often, like the patch notes said they would.

              And

I have seen the camera glitch on extra points where the camera view is way back across the field.

Those are just two things I have noticed that would indicate to me the patch is not working as EA intended.

i honestly was fine with the game before the patch except for the play action glitch. i would've gotten past no dirty uniforms too. every time a patch is released, more issues crop up...sometimes making things worse.

I don't recall that they said that. I think what people were complaining about is that running backs outside were cutting back in for no good reason (i.e. no defender on the sideline in front of them) and getting tackled too early as a result. And I've seen halfbacks run up the sidelines quite a long ways several times since the patch, almost never before it, so it seems like they definitely improved this area.

I might try me some Varsity.

Any chance of cribbing your Varsity sliders?

I used Playmakers, adjusted in some areas (nothing drastic) and out player thres at 0

I think the name Varsity level it what makes people avoid even trying.

You can debate with them all day but if a guy doesn't have a open mind he won't do it.

Out of the box i think Varsity level is way too easy but with sliders i think it is without question the most underated level in the game for gameplay.

I honestly believe this is where most of EA's slider codes are tested at for percentages and things because they always release the game on Varsity level. I think they apply percentages at default 50/50 and then those percentages can be lowered or increased by moving the sliders up or down.

But i also think player ratings are calculated on default Varsity and you either increase a players skill rating or decrease it by a percentage based on the sliders. Now it may in fact be too easy for some people but i think for the majority they would be absolutely shocked at how this level plays if they didn't see the name Varsity attached to it.

In other words if you hid the name of the level and someone posted sliders that only said custom sliders instead of varsity sliders most guys wouldn't even know the difference between it and AA level.

But hey i'm just glad slthree and jukeman hooked me on to the level about 2 years ago and i haven't looked back since.

                          - Uniforms getting dirty was not very noticable at all by halftime, may be a subtle change

                          - Hum QB accuracy seems better, the QB will lead the receiver more attempting to keep the ball away from the defender

                          - I had my DL on Aggressive the whole time without a penalty, still doesn't seem to be much downside to gameplanning aggressive

                          - I was playing as Wyoming against Air Force because I wanted to see how the computer was at running the football now. The CPU RB seemed to be making better decisions, but honestly I don't know if that was placebo or not. There really wasn't a time where the CPU RB could have bounced outside in that half, so its hard to say

FWIW setting the Dline to aggressive should not evoke a lot of offside penalties. Sure, they should be slightly more frequent, but a more realistic and strategic downside would be over-pursuit as one example. Playing aggressive vs staying onside is just a gamey approach IMO and ignores the true tactical differences that are involved with the contrasting gameplans.

Let's make NCAA 11 more realistic and a true X's and O's sim.

I had the exact same thing happen to me. I am in my second season in my dynasty and have had multiple pat glitches. The uniforms changed one time. I also played in an ex and the same thing happened. It's like it patched then unpatched. Is that possible? What can I do to fix it? Thanks

Still seeing the cpu running backs running in the wide open while covering the ball. Frustrating to see.
