    Miami Hurricane Roster

its been hard for me to find a roster that seemed to have all the nuances of the Miami Hurricane team right. Some have Jacory rated poorly (even though some consider him to be the best long ball thrower in college), and have the neither the correct defensive starters nor the rotation men that will definitely get playing time.

Its a little frustrating and I was hoping to get some hope from other fans. We won't really know the final depth chart for about 18 more days but from the looks of thing heres what we know now, and i ask that if you have more info that you add to the thread and assist maybe we can put it all together with the correct ratings.

Ray Ray Armstong and Telemaque will likely be the starters, with JoJo Nichols playing a big role in substitution packages.

Seantrel Henderson and Latwan Anderson are late signings meaning they will likely get redshirted but will be available in future years as well as a host other crucial freshmen.

Lamar Miller has impressed everyone so far with his speed and pull-away speed.

Senior linebacker Kylan Robinson with start at Middle Linebacker with freshman Kelvin Cain, freshman Kevin Nelson and redshirt freshman Shayon Green all backing him up. (even though our depth chart for the best lineup may be to have Colin moved from Outside to Inside Linebacker)

    What else have you heard?

Latwan Anderson will probably go prep or red-shirt. Henderson, I hear might play this year. JoJo Nicholas needs 2 be added to the community rosters. As far as the rating go, I don't get all caught up in that. I think the roster makers are doing the best they can and until UM has the depth chart released, we really can't question anybodies roster motives.

Junior Lee Chambers has a new home. On Monday, the former running back ran out onto the practice fields in a white uniform to stretch with John Lovett’s defense. Chambers, who has 272 yards rushing in 14 career games at UM, makes a similar move to the secondary that former teammate Sam Shields did a season ago. Chambers began working with defensive backs coach Wesley McGriff on technique and assignments, often taking plays off to stand alongside McGriff and listen in as he coached up his secondary.

Yeah i agree that Anderson will redshirt, he has the grades to get in he won't need to go prep. NCAA just is checking all his records before he's allowed on the field.

Actually Latwan Anderson was just cleared hours ago through NCAA Clearinghouse and he will be reporting to Miami next week to begin practicing with Football team. He WILL NOT redshirt and I have a very reliable source within the Miami program that has told me that Miami plans on keeping him active this year because of his special teams ability and his explosiveness. Mark my words if Latwan stays healthy he has the potential to start by game four this year. That is news to me about Lee Chambers because I was sure he would stay at tailback but we have so much depth so...As for an accurate Miami roster your best bet is to do it yourself because truth is Miami's rosters is horrendous this year. It is very inaccurate and absolutely pathetic. Make sure to include Cory Nelms DB who can fly by the way and is one of our best special teamers. He was the one that put that big hit on Oklahoma's special team last year. Any more questions let me know....

Seantrel will play this year as well along with Storm Johnson and also do not forget about Asante Cleveland TE. He is having a good fall practice right now and could start but I think Chase Ford will be the starting TE.

Heres the data on Storm: http://www.miamiherald.com/2010/08/1...ning-back.html

Johnson, who played for Loganville (Ga.) High, was rated by Rivals.com as the seventh-best running back in the nation and No. 22 recruit regardless of position. But he is one of several highly regarded UM tailbacks. He said he was timed at 4.38 seconds in the 40-yard dash when he first arrived in Coral Gables, and described himself as ``a power, speed back. I'm balanced.''

Incidentally, ``Storm'' is Johnson's middle name. His first name: Westleigh.

Yeah, I'm with that, the "U" is the only college team that needs they own thread. I think whipple son will be the back-up to jacory. Also I think Damien Berry will start and HB and his back-up will be mike james.

Yeah i don't necessarily agree with that. whipple has a high Football IQ, he's going to be hugely helpful to the qb squad, but i think that Lamar Miller will backup Berry unless Cooper is ready which if you listen his comments he says he is.

Here is my depth chart going into the season from what I have gathered:

                          QB Jacory/Highsmith
                          RB Berry/Miller/James
                          WR Hankerson/Benjamin/ AJ
                          TE Gordon/ Ford

As for the Oline and D I will get back to U later got to watch my show Weeds, season premiere. But personally I think the Oline with Franklin, Gunn, Seantrel, Linder, B Washington, Figs and Jermaine Johnson. We will better than last year as far as the o line is concerned....

I agree with most of that. Cooper is still the X factor as well as Byrd at WR. Hankerson is a beast though.

i want to be able to create the best and truest dynasty hurricane team.

Do you think realistically Campbell, Jared or Hill, Ryan or Nelms, Cory will have any impact as Seniors this season?

If not, we could eliminate those 3 to add Freshmen, and Sophomores that were left off.
