As I mentioned earlier, I'm really digging the demo.

A few detailed thoughts...I was trying to carry the puck up the left boards, hoping it wouldn't be just like '10'...were you'd get past the blue line uncontested. It wasn't...I got blasted! Not sure yet how common this will be. But it was great to see this happen at all.

As Qb mentioned, yep, on All-Star hardcore, the cpu was on me quick! The AI seems much more aggressive this year. For me anyway....very tough to try to just skate into the crease area.

And a very big improvement, the cpu AI seems much more aggressive and smarter in your zone. Can't wait to play some more.

Can anyone comment if the 'berzerker mode' is gone from the higher difficulty levels?
Will the CPU pass at lightning quick speeds and 100% accuracy?

I really like the demo but I have not noticed any type of Euphoria real time
physics in the game yet. The game feels alot like 10 and the game looks
more polished. Have any of you guys feel the same way.

It should be, haven't seen it happen yet though.

I've seen 2 charging calls so far, both on the CPU. Both were legit.

Impossible to know for sure with locked sliders but the cpu on their default ss hardcore settings misses plenty of passes for me at least from the little time I've had with the demo thus far.

On the topic of CPU AI its much more aggressive, I'm actually finding I have to really work now just to set up in the zone, which is a great thing.

I love everything about the game so far, except that they slowed down the game a lot...especially when you have the puck, you're ultra slow.

Money, one of the new sliders/options is "CPU Strategy Adjustment" which controls how much the CPU AI alters its team strategies during the course of a game. I know a lot of the "bezerker" discussion hypothesized that aggressive strategies caused it... apparently someone was listening. :wink:

On the topic of CPU AI its much more aggressive, I'm actually finding I have to really work now just to set up in the zone, which is a great thing.

Good to know my skills didn't take a sudden nosedive since the CPU was handing me my rear at the community event...

I just had a sick breakaway goal by Briere early in the 3rd.

Carter gets a breakout pass from Coburn from behind Leighton. I float a little flip pass through Campbell and Boynton to Briere, who is even and right between them. I press the hustle button and then Protect Puck button to gain just a tidbit of an edge, get through to just have enough time to fake backhand and go forehand upstairs. He was getting poked and pushed but managed to score and get within 1 of a tie for the cup.

Whenever my goalie goes to get the puck behind the net, then has to pass it out...

It's really awkward. He won't pass in the direction I press, and I had a goal scored on me because he randomly threw it in front of the net. I tried doing a hard pass, but that doesn't help either.

Are you guys having this problem?

I'm noticing the enterance to the zone is alot harder also. I always carry the puck down the wing, but now like you said, you get crushed or you just run out of room. Dumping the puck into the zone is more important than ever now.

I'm finally getting used to playing NHL hockey games again. First 10 games I played, I only score 3 goals Now I'm starting to get the hang of playing hockey again and I've score 2 goals the last 5 games I've played. Oh and this is on SuperStar Normal. I don't know if I want to go to Hardcore...

Yeah I wouldn't worry about your skills QB, I don't think I've won one game on ss in cup mode, granted I'm usually down a goal or two every time but still, its really tough to get set up on offense, the AI imo does a really good job of getting in your face now and just a better overall job of pressuring and blocking passing lanes. Challenge is a good thing.
