RINGO'S Average Starter Position Rating Slider Set

This is a project I've been working on and would like the communities input. I used DanSF49's team ranking sliders for many years, but this year I am doing my own set based on the average starter position ratings from the franchise mode, team management, roster break down section. My theory is that teams should play to their strengths "with a little help" from the sliders. Good QB's will be more accurate that middle of the road ones and good pass rush teams will be better than those who struggle at that. Here is how I have the breakdown by slider category to position rating so far.

    Passing Sliders
    QB Accuracy: QB
    Pass Blocking: Offensive Tackle
    WR Catching: WR

    Rushing Sliders
    Broken Tackles: RB
    Run Blocking: Offensive Guard
Fumbles: set at 45 across the board

    Defensive Passing Sliders
    Reaction Time: CB
Interceptions: set at 30 across the board
    Pass Rushing: OLB

    Defensive Rushing Sliders
    Reaction Time: DT
    Block Shedding: DE
    Tackling: MLB

I'm still working on slider number ranges, so its not complete yet. For passing, rushing and rush defense categories I'm looking at 50-36 and Pass Defense 70-56. I need your imput for assigning positions to the slider category.
    Thanks guys.

Nice thought. I did a similar concept for the sliders I'm using.
Reaction Time for rush: DT and MLB, I would use both.

Your Range looks good. Post the numbers you think will work and I will play 3 games and post results.

My game ended 35-34 Vikings. It does seem like the defense wears down in the second half. I'll try a game with a couple of middle of the road teams to see what it looks like. Your stats were very similar to mine for that game.

Dan!!! Long time. Look at my ranges in the first post. I'm using incraments of 2 for each of the 8 tiers of 4. If you use incraments of 4 or five the sway from one end to the other is way to much I believe. 2 gives a range of about 14 from best to worst. This game has been tough to measure so far. The key is the pass defense. If it isnt close, everybody is running Texas Tech offense.

The BIG problem is the Linebackers in Zone are too slow to react to the play. If you increase Reaction Time it improves LB and Everyone Else in MAN to Man, BUT not much help on Zone plays. Shame.

Same thing for all the D......Zone make them play like their on mary jane.....very slow to get going toward their zone.

I think the only thing that will improve this is either a patch or a Ratings BOOST for LB,CB,FS and SS for zone ratings.

Re: RINGO'S Average Starter Position Rating Slider Set

I have noticed LB not reacting very well on runs as well. They freeze in their tracks when a RB hits the hole. I really hate to say it, but I think I'm going to have to agree on the patch thing. The look of the game it great, but playing it is a very tough thing for folks who want to get as close to the real thing as possible. I'm still playing and testing. Played Miami (me) @ Buffalo. Blew them out in the second half. Ended up 51-14. Thing was, I got an int. when I was up and a late fumble recovery, both for TD's, which could happen.

                    Buf QB was 20-42 for 324 yds, 2 TD's, 1 int, rating 79.8
                    Fred Jackson was 14-55
                    Marshawn Lynch was 4-12
                    C.J Spiller was 1-5
                    Lee Evans was 1-10

                    Miami QB was 11-19 for 238 yds, 2 TD's, 0 ints, rating 137.4
Ronnie Brown was 25-170 and 1 TD
Ricky Williams was 9-18 and 1 TD
                    Lousaka Polite was 1-2

DanSF49 is working on his rating grid and he usually comes up with some good stuff. I'll continue to tweak until Dan's comes out. Try his offering and if it works, then good to go. If not, I'll shelf this until they patch it and hope they get it right and play College Football until then.

This is an excel spreadsheet with slider settings for each team, custom settings and 2 coach scheme options. I got some of the ideas and settings from other settings makers last year but can't remember everyone. If you need to adjust the sliders, move your range in increments of 2 up or down to your liking.
