The NFL Experience 2.0 - *FINAL FOR 2011*

The NFL Experience Version 2.0 (FINAL)
11 Minutes, 15 second accelerated clock. Gamespeed Normal, Threshold of 100.
    Injuries at 40.

    HUMAN/CPU

QB Accuracy: 12/48 (QB was changed from 10-12 for human)
    Pass Blocking: 80/75
    WR Catching: 45/50

    Broken Tackles: 45/30
    Run Blocking: 57/80
    Fumbles: 75/75

    Reaction Time: 68/100
    Interceptions: 38/80
Pass Rushing: 41/62 (Both HUM/CPU were lowered 1 point to their current levels)

    Reaction Time: 50/95
    Block Shedding: 38/85
    Tackling: 45/90

    Penalties: Offside-100, False Start-99, Holding-51, Facemask-49, All Interference-100, Clipping-49, All Remaining-100. I use 83/88 for my HB Sub Sliders, that's all I change.

I really just want to have fun the rest of the way. I'm not going to All-Madden and I won't drop below 10 on Pass Accuracy, so barring skill changes this is my set for 2011. I feel there is great lineplay, running games, and defense has been brought back into the game. The stats are very close to realism, if you realise that you will have some big games from time to time.

Good luck to everyone! Also, remember that everyone is of differing skill levels so these may not be perfect for you. I will be happy to answer any reasonable question on how you should tweak the sliders for skill-level purposes.

    FG Power: +10
    FG Accuracy: +6

Default. I run my HB sub at 83/88. This is personal preference.

Det (ME) vs CHI (CPU) 35-20

Great game, only stat I don't "like" was that I picked Cutler 3 times. All were good picks, 2 of them late in the game when the Bears had to throw. Felt perfect.

        Passing:

        Cutler 24 for 41 for 321 yards (58%) 1TD 3INT Long of 39.
        Stafford: 12 for 22 for 219 yards (54%) 4TD 0INT Long of 66.

        Rushing:

        Forte 12 for 28 yards (2.3) 0TD
        Taylor 4 for 61 yards (15.2) 1TD

Shut them down on the ground pretty good. Taylor had a 54 yarder.

        Best 23 for 104 yards (4.5) 0TD
        B. Westbrook 6 carries for 113 yards (18.8) 1TD (73 yarder)
        Felton (FB) 2 for 14.

Couple big plays, but they were *nice*. Taylor's run was sick.

The Bears sacked me 5 times and had me under a nice pressure. I only mustered one sack with Suh. Had excellent pressure all game as well, however. TONS of assisted tackles. *23* Detroit players got credit for at least 1 assisted tackle, LOVE that. Only 7 total for the Bears, but I was in a lot of one on one situations so it did kind of balance out I suppose.

        Lovin this game....

Re: The NFL Experience 2.0 - *FINAL FOR 2011*

And my franchise gains its first subplot as well as I watch the Extra Point. I play Philly week 2 and it appears Mike Vick is going to get that chance to be "the guy" again already, as Kolb is out with a fractured foot for 10 weeks. That effectively locked me into this franchise for positive - such shenanigans.

Oh, and an interesting side note. We need to quit necessarily throwing out games as "too much offense!" Colts/Texans 49-28 I notice the "highlight" on Extra Point week one. 558 yards of total offense by the Colts, including 288 on the ground, with another 344 from the Texans! Also had the other end of the spectrum, Atlanta only getting 126 total yards against the Steelers week one.

          Other notables:

Brees vs. Favre (Brees 31-39/270/4TD/1INT -- Favre 14-31/137/0TD/2INT)
Saints rush for 32 yards total and blow out the Vikings 31-6. No back on Minnesota gets above 34 yards, and that's Gerhart.

Brady threw for 351 against Palmer with 295. 10 backs total had over 80 yards, and 9 of them over 94 (7 100 yard backs and one 219 yard back Joseph Addai).

Liking what I'm seeing. As long as we are getting varied performances and stats that tend to add up to real NFL values for once, we're in damn good shape with sliders!

Re: The NFL Experience 2.0 - *FINAL FOR 2011*

Honestly, this will be my last bump for my slider set this year. I'm simply not going to compete against the "name" slider makers if no one is going to use them. I am already extremely happy with the games I am getting, and if no one in the community is interested, I will stop wasting my time.

My franchise is in full swing and I couldn't be happier with the results I'm getting (the most sim of any Madden I've ever played, and I'm 32 and have played them all).

Good luck with these other sets if this is the way you folks choose to go. I'll keep posting and trying to tweak to help others if there is interest.

I'll help you test. Go Steelers! I'm in week 9 against Cincy. I'll post results in a half hour or so. I feel these should match my skill level. We'll see.

I moved FG acc and pwr to 25. Kicks are way too easy.

                Cheers

Okay, Half-Time. Taking longer than I expected but not a bad thing.

score 21-14 me. Bengals were driving fierce coming back. they've got the home crowd going nuts

                  me/cpu

                  tot yrds 157/229

                  C Palmer is 7/20, 146 yrds, 1 td, 2 int
                  B. Roeth is 7/15, 116 yrds, 1 td

                  C. Benson has 73 yrds, 1 td, and 13 att
Mendenhall has 53 yrds, 1td, and 8 att

                  DEFENSE
They have the only sack. I have two picks. 1 fumble forced (polamalu), it went out of bounds.

I ran 1 punt return into the endzone from like the 50 or something

Overall, it feels great. They made this huge comeback but I stopped them before they could tie it going into the half.

I'll give you the final in a bit.

Alright, game over. Final was Me 28, Them 21.

I like these sliders a lot. I felt in the game the whole time. Every time I was cocky or lax... I got burned. One note... I would bump FG acc to about 40. Bengals kicker missed a 48 yrder by only a foot and missed a 15 yrder by 10 feet... ha.

                    Stats:
                    Palmer: 15/36, 296yrds, 2tds, 2ints
                    Roethlisberger: 15/30, 200yrds, 2tds, 1 fumble

                    Mendenhall 23 att, 98 yds, 1 td
                    Benson 18 att 139 yds, 1td

                    Ward 4 balls, 62 yds, 1td
                    Ochocinco 2 balls 59 yds,

                    Defense/Sp teams
Logan 1 td from punt return
Bengals 1 sack, 1 fumble recovered (bullcrap.. there was definitely a passing motion)

I'll test a few more games and let you know how it goes. Let me know if you want me to try anything.

                    Cheers

I appreciate your testing. I am sorry I did not respond sooner, I had to work. Things look pretty damn good... passing completion numbers are a little low, but obviously that is a game to game thing. The important thing to me was that you had a solid statistical game that was close and enjoyable, and it appears that's achieved for you. So you know I run all of my special teams sliders at default except for FG Power at 55, so perhaps try it at 55-60 for FG Accuracy. I have noticed a few too many shanks myself.

I have no idea how these people are making FG's with anyone with FG Power at like 5... I miss 50's with Hanson (a good long kicker) ALL the time on full power kicks.

I started a game with the Giants. Eli's accuracy was absolutely atrocious to a point where it was just unbearable. There was one throw that just kinda sailed out maybe 10 yards from his hand and just died without any receivers remotely in the area. It was the strangest thing I've seen on the game yet from any slider set. I am a fan of reducing QB acc for sure, but this may be a little extreme. To each his own I suppose...

As far as the FG power is concerned, I like it within the 5-15 range. It sucks that there is only one slider set for special teams. I dont know why it cant be separated between human and CPU. I would like to greatly lower FG acc but I can't because if you go below 50 whatsoever they start shanking kicks all over the place.

So far, I have actually liked these sliders the best since it does as best as it can under the circumstances with the condition of the game.

However, even with these sliders (game just broken in my opinion) that passing defense is just too bad right now evern if you tweak the sliders to the extreme. At this point, I pretty much have stopped playing the game until a patch comes out because it is no fun passing at will, knowing you can put up huge numbers even on the hardest level.

Hope you keep at it because I will take another look at them after patches are released.

                              Good luck.
