Sorry but can anyone point me to where EA has at least acknowledged the pump fake glitch and/or the way Dynasty gets totally broken down the line due to depth chart problems?

use the option to turn your defenders into conservative when trying to strip the ball.
CPU RB's are only doing this a lot because the USER has his defensive strategy up higher than Conservative for strips. The AI recognizes that code during gameplay and therfor they cover up the ball more than they should.
I mean i do understand some of the complaints but then at times I can't help but to ask myself are people just not aware of how some of these issues can be kinda toned down by the USER himself with options already available to him in gameplay.Last edited by Playmakers; 08-18-2010, 09:40 PM.NCAA FOOTBALL 14 ALUMNI LEGENDS CPU vs CPU DYNASTY THREAD

what if you just have it on default? i've never changed it to aggressive.use the option to turn your defenders into conservative when trying to strip the ball.

Maybe I don't want to change my defensive strategy because I like my defense to go for the strip. Why should I have to change something like that to make up for poor CPU logic?use the option to turn your defenders into conservative when trying to strip the ball.

Re: NCAA Football 11 Patch #2 Available with Details, Post Your Impressions Here
I play varsity coach mode and I've spent hours tweaking with the cpu accuracy post patch to no avail.
The developers have discontinued almost all of the overthrow passes that receiver nor defensive back could get to. Now, accuracy is a virtually useless attribute on NCAA 11, even when a 300 lb defensive lineman is about to plant you into the turf.
I love playing sports video games, but there are always glaring issues with the gameplay or the mode you cherish the most, like dynasty and online. I don't blame the developers because they have little time to make the game, and make it better, and better, each year with pressure from both corporate office and consumer alike.
Like the story of the person saving the babies floating down a river, when is something going to be done to address the source of sim sports videogamers' concerns, product quality? When is the question, "How can a quality sim sports videogame be put out in a year and still remain fairly consistent in its net profit after its sales have been tallied?"
I don't know, but I won't leave you (EA) without a couple lay suggestions:
1) Hire interns who either work for free or small stipends
2) Sacrifice a small percentage of your budget to improving game quality
3) Hone in on what made 2k5 and what makes 2k sports in general more successful with fans of simulation sports videogames and slowly tap into its market (like they did yours once upon a time).
Best Wishes
See this completely baffles me. I downloaded the patch/tuners, and I've been using modified version of playmaker's varsity sliders, and my games play perfect. I've only played 3 games since the patch, but I beat Duke 48 to 20, Georgia Tech (#8) 38 to 15, and then beat (#18) Miami 27-23 with a touchdown with :18 seconds left in my Virginia Tech dynasty (#4). I have my qb acc at 10 and wr catches at 40 or 45, and I get a lot of errant throws, I get heavy pressure, and I get hit a lot. On average, my passing is something like 15-20 completions with about 28 to 35 attempts, so I have plenty of incompletions. Some overthrown, some int's (thrown 7 on the season and we are 11-0 going into final game against UVa), and some are from cpu jacking my receivers up. I just don't get any of these issues everyone is having. The ONLY issue I have is some of the glitches and I get the random 3-5 second freeze in the first and second half of every game that drives me nuts. My games play perfect though, this is the best football game I have ever played. And the new recruiting has made the game deeper and more enjoyable to me. I used to HATE recruiting, now I recruit and use all 10 hours after each game I play (i play one game a night).Virginia Tech Hokies NCAA 2011 Dynasty Thread :

Since the patch my game freezes at the snap everytime for at least the first half and has been freezing more often then before, it's not as long of a freeze but it happens more often. This is during offline play.Comment

I experienced this last night, in my third game post-patch 2/tuners 2. It started in the second half and I think it lasted only 1 or 2 series, but there was a delay/freeze for about a half-second when you snap the ball. Very annoying and seemingly random in when it pops up. Was playing in snow, don't know if that had anything to do with it.
This whole patch/tuner thing is turning into a debacle, really messing up what could be a great thing. It's on me. I shook his hand too hard. It was a hard ... kind of a slap-shake.

Agree with you.
It´s sad we have to set a "feature" for something else, to fix bad coding from EA.English, is not my first language.Comment

The pre-play freezing has always been in there, I don't understand why more reviews didn't pick up on it. For me, it's just part of the game and I've kinda gotten used to it, but that isn't an excuse. It really does screw up your timing on quick passing routes when you aren't even seeing live action after the snap.I experienced this last night, in my third game post-patch 2/tuners 2. It's a adjustment we have to make if you want to see the CPU RB's behave more logical with the ball in the open field.
They are coded to protect to the ball if your playing with your defensive strategy to have your defenders go for more strips and cause more fumbles than the CPU's RB's are going to keep covering up the ball because they are adapting to your gameplay strategy.
I don't know if EA did this deliberately or not and just didn't test it before releasing the game but hey i'm just offering an alternative to the silly cover up the ball logic. I still see fumbles and big hits so it's not liek your defenders are being handicapped in the game.
They just aren't going for as many strips on the ball carrier.....they make more conservative tackles. Also you guys don't liek to see so many TD's returned off turnovers then this is another way to to slow down the pick 6's and fumble returns for TD's
But hey if you those things are best for your style of play then leave the strategy options as is and role with it. I just don't think aggressive strategy is needed to be honest for good gameplay.NCAA FOOTBALL 14 ALUMNI LEGENDS CPU vs CPU DYNASTY THREAD

That's cool, I understand where you're coming from. I personally don't even touch the Gameplan most of the time and I do notice the runners protecting the ball too much, so I think EA should just fix it. But I understand you were just trying to offer a fix. I think I was more responding to your last paragraph in that post where you kind of made it sound like people should switch to conservative instead of complaining, when I think people shouldn't have to choose in order to see less covering up in wide open situation. It's a adjustment we have to make if you want to see the CPU RB's behave more logical with the ball in the open field.

Well, I was pretty happy with the passing game (other than the psychic dbs) but now that WR catch in traffic is boosted it's TERRIBLE.
Receivers can now catch EVERYTHING. Before the middle post wasn't automatic against cover three and now it is again.
I really hope they tone it back down again...before it was really useful to have a receiver with high CIT that you know could come down with it, now you don't even have to worry about it.Comment
