We are monitoring and fixing issues in this thread.
Thanks for your patience.
The upgrade is complete, but you've probably noticed the forums are only showing posts up to about April 8. Posts made after that are still in the process of being moved over, and that should take another week or two. Feel free to start a new thread.
The site might feel a little slow while work continues. Engineers are staying on it through the night to get things moving faster again. Thanks for your patience.

True. It was nice seeing those garbage passes shut down in the video. That should help squash some of the drive-n-dunk play that overwhelms online games.
Now if we could just get a video from someone who knows how to play we might see some good passing and ball control instead of a bunch of guys flailing back and forth chasing turnovers.
Who plays 2k on the side view. It's 2010. I haven't played on a side or angled view since 2k came out in 2000. Would you play Madden on the side view. Hell no.
It's the 2k camera for christ sake.
I could always tell when someone was playing on the side view online because they normally all ways went to the baseline from one side or only shot the ball from one side.
It takes about two minutes running up the court to figure it out. Then I would just bring a big man from the weak side and shut the baseline down.
lnin0 : When you play on the side view you try and attempt those garbage passes. If they were playing on the 2k camera they would have known those passes were not open.
With as pretty as this game is why does the ball still appear to morph through the net (review James' free thrown in second vid) then the net animation takes place after the morph?

I play it on that view and NHL 2k too. Cant play EA's hockey like that though.
Like what's already been said, I saw at least four instances where the computer made plays in 2k11 that it wouldn't have made in 2k10. The computer has active hands and the defensive animations triggered under the basket are more aggressive. Its shaping up to look real good.

All I need to see is the pick and roll offense and defense. Most picks on 2k were weak, the cpu somehow slipped right in front of it somehow or just morphed through. And when you did get a solid pick, they'd give up on playing D and its usually a open dunk.

You need to calm down, especially since it's completely user preference. Some people like their game to look like an actual TV broadcast. I absolutely HATE 2K camera view and anything that's not Nosebleeds or Broadcast. The training camp (not Summer League) in My Player mode was brutal to me because of not having a true side view. It was all North/South cameras. Some of us don't like North/South at all and I prefer to be able to mistake the game for a real game on TV.

oh god i hope they give us the option this year! like you i absolutely HATE north/south camera angles...

surprised this wasn't brought up before. I've seen it in about 60 percent of the videos I've seen. a FT shot does not choke the net that hard, even if it did, the net physics are way off!
the net choked as if someone shot a long range shot
that and the layups and the minimal skating are my gripes this yr. still have to play the game, haven't played 2k since 2k8 and haven't been pumped up for a bbal game since 2k7.
I'm hoping 2k11 is a gem like 2k7 was in terms of innovation and sim. and it being the less glitchy-est.

Well said. It's all a matter of preference. Though, I was okay with the north/south for My Player - but I'd always be happy with more options.
