Recruit Visits
When I see that a recruit is "ready" to schedule a visit, almost every time I call them, they say something like "I was ready to schedule a visit last week" or something along the lines of them wanting to schedule a visit a week ago, but I am almost positive that they were not "ready" the week before...is this just random recruit talk or am i missing something?Tags: None -

Re: Recruit Visits
I think it's just random recruit talk and there is nothing really behind it. Some of the responses they give to your pitches don't really make any sense either. -

Re: Recruit Visits
i dont ever read the recruit responses, just look at the points. cant imagine them providing any important information when its the same 30 or so getting reused over and over again.Comment

Re: Recruit Visits
Considering its in quotation marks, i assume that the "high school athlete" just says the phrases during the phone call. By that logic, the difference between "you're" and "your" and the lack of commas would be inconsequential. Since we are not hearing the "athlete", but reading a transcript of his conversation, the lack of grammatical correctness is on whoever typed it out.
They might as well have just used text typing. "U R Rite! I shd drop dey a$$."Comment

Re: Recruit Visits
the whole "I was ready to schedule visits last week" dialog comes up when you schedule your visit a while after the current week (four or more weeks, I think?). So I take it as instead of calling in week four and saying, "Hey, wanna come by our campus in week 13," the visit isn't set in stone until week 13 or something. I dunno, I'm trying to make sense of it.Wisconsin Badgers | Green Bay Packers | Vodafone McLaren Mercedes | Andretti Autosport

I wouldn't read much into what they say. When I see that a recruit is "ready" to schedule a visit, almost every time I call them, they say something like "I was ready to schedule a visit last week" or something along the lines of them wanting to schedule a visit a week ago, but I am almost positive that they were not "ready" the week before...is this just random recruit talk or am i missing something?Comment

Re: Recruit Visits
I did. I excelled in English/grammar. Class of 1987. It can be done. (You said high school student athlete - not GOOD high school student athletes that *might* actually play college ball one day)
In all seriousness, this means nothing. Just some quotes they throw at you. Pretty soon you will have read all things they can potentially say for every pitch and you learn to skip it haha...Comment
