How many people here who bought Madden 11....

I did

I got my copy on release day and wasn't too impressed, went back to MLB The Show 10 for awhile, played Madden a few times again and while there are things I liked about it, namely the running game and the lighting that was about it. I hate the animations, the players move somewhat jerky at times, they still "skate" around. Needless to say this will be my last Madden. They should switch with 2K, give them the NFL and EA should make MVP Baseball again.

I rented it and think it's a solid game. I really hope there is a way with a patch to make it interesting on defense instead of a ticking time bomb before giving up a score.

I found playing on Very Slow helps with the skating and jerkiness. I liked the game before, but I enjoy it more now on Very Slow.

I didn't vote. I bought it, still have, and play it fairly often;however, I can't say that I love it. There's a desperate need for a physics based engine or, at the very least, pro-tak needs to be improved to the point where defenders can hit a ball carrier regardless of whether he's currently in a tackling animation or not. There should be no instances in the game where an animation cannot be interrupted.

Also, all of elements of NFL Head Coach 09, plus practice squads, need to be included in franchise mode for Madden 12.

It has its flaws, it isn't a huge improvement over '10, but I still play a game or two a day. EA is coasting off of the NFL's fanship. Thats the only reason I own the game. I was going to post a poll asking if people would hesitate to buy another company's NFL offering if it were available but figured it would be closed quickly. My answer to that question is yes, without hesitation. To this question, I like it, still play it frequently, but more because I am a fan of the NFL than a fan of Madden.

I sold mine too, definitely a bit of an improvement over last year gameplay wise but until they do something with the Franchise mode I won't buy another madden

This. Even without a patch I find this version to be better than the patched version of 10.

Got it a week early and LOVE IT!!!! Coupled with Playmakers slider set and it's a wonderful game. Online is another story. Game is flat out broke online imo. won't even touch online again until EA makes some needed changes. Will be playing this game well into the next year along with NCAA 11.

I was so pumped to get this game and it just fell flat to me. I am an offline franchise only guy and there are so many little things(and some big) that are missing that it just makes it not fun to play. I thought gameflow would be cool but it really isn't that good, maybe they'll tweak it with the patches

I know there are alot of guys that love it and that's all good, to each his own but to me it's just not there. I'm just glad I got it for $39 back in March from EA and didn't pay full price. Oh well, off to play Mafia II tomorrow.

Like CubFan23, I too am big on offline franchises and this year's edition still seems to be lifeless in my opinion. So I switched back to NFL 2k5 yet probably won't trade Madden in until the next slate of sport games come out. Just in case an urge strikes or something but I unfortunately don't see myself playing the game regularly. I just have too much 2k in my blood I suppose but I'll refrain from turning this into one of those wars.

I'm sure Madden 11 is mostly a solid game, it just doesn't strike my chord I suppose because of where my loyalty lies/is used to is all I mean really.
