    From Recent to Old:
    The Art of Passing
When I took over passing this year, I immediately gathered community feedback and combined your issues with ours. Fortunately, your concerns and ideas very closely matched our plans and this resulted in a colossal amount of positive changes and features to help take our game to a new level. While I’d like to tell you everything we did, I’ll save you from the mind-numbing jargon and highlight some of the more enjoyable and most notable changes instead.

    MJ: Creating a Legend
Imagine putting Jordan on the Heat. Your starting lineup would be Wade, Jordan, LeBron, Haslem(?), and Bosh. Maybe you’ll want to pair him up with Kobe to see how two of the greatest players of all-time play together. Or maybe you’ll want to put him on the Clippers to battle Kobe and the Lakers head-to-head for the true bragging rights in the City of Angels. The number of scenarios you can create in this mode are endless. What do you think would make for a great story?
    The Jordan Challenge, New Additions
    The Arrival

When: April 20, 1986. Game 2, 1st round playoffs vs. Celtics

    Goal 1: Score 63+ points

Goal 2: Shoot 50%+ from the field

Goal 3: Dish out 6+ assists

One-liner: Jordan made his mark with this 63 point playoff game against a heavily favored Celtics team.

    Making a Smarter Game
Before we get into that, I wanted to reveal a new option that we’ve added for this year’s game that I am sure will excite you throughly. We have a huge team here and we all have a different perspective for how a basketball sim should be played/tuned, much like our ever-growing consumer base. One way we attempted to satisfy all parties was to introduce a new option called Game Style. Changing this option will significantly change the way you experience NBA 2K11. So when you get your hands on the game this October, play around with the different settings, as well as the difficulty level setting, to see what best fits your style of game and experience level. Here’s a quick rundown of what we were shooting for with the different settings:
Enhanced Control ( My favorite !)
Many of you have been clamoring for foot-planting technology. What we realized was that we all wanted a feeling of being planted on the ground, especially when making changes of direction. The new dribbling animation system allows for that. From a control standpoint, we discussed sweeping changes to the dribbling mechanic, but in the end settled on two fundamental changes: immediate and accurate response to input as well as a command system that replicates the needed gestures to achieve a move, instead of randomly throwing sticks and/or mashing buttons. What that means is that holding multiple triggers to activate a special move is no longer necessary and that moves reflect the intention of the user. Mike Wang will go over these controls in more depth at a later stage. We wanted feathering controls, more control over when to protect the ball and when not to, and how to decide whether or not we wanted to stay faced up to the basket or not. All of these were achieved without sacrificing what you have come to expect from an NBA 2K game: Authenticity in AI and movement for every player in the league.
NBA 2K11 - Developer Insights Return
Between now and launch day on October 5th, you can expect at least one entry a week (we’re aiming for at least a dozen) that will break down things such as gameplay enhancements, what you can expect online, improvements to such great NBA 2K10 features as NBA Today and My Player – you get the idea. From the presentation polish to the deepest features, you’ll get to read about it all here. There will be more detail in these Insights than most anywhere so make sure to turn your attention to this page often.

I think the demo from Gamescom shows some improvement.
