How to stop the run with bad team.

Sorry, i tried the search feature and I went five pages deep without finding a single thread related to this topic.

So I am playing in my online dynasty as Akron, when I play the computer, I do fine against the run. Even when I schedule the Ohio States, Alabama's of the world but when I play human, my defense can't stop the run for the life of me.

It seems like every rush in between the tackles, they are getting four-six yards per carry and there's nothing I can do to stop it. Ive ran the 4-4, 4-6, 3-4, I blitz, I play man, I pinch the lines...

What are some tips to try to slow down the opposing teams run?

Are you playing your offline and online's at the same level? That could be a reason. Try blitzing your SS while in 4-3 man press.

I run the 3-4 and control the DT and usually limit the other team to 50-75 yards a game depending on what team I use.

Both dynasties are AA level, no slider adjustments.

I usually control the safety and use him to try to get an extra guy in the box but when they run up the gut, it does nothing. Im guessing its just that my team is so bad that there isnt much Im going to be able to do about it.

Against a good running team, you could be right. There have been games that no matter what I try, I cannot stop the run. I'm talking offline though. Helpless feeling isn't it?
