O snap Howard really worked hard on his post gm this off-season, all jokes aside, 1:20 - 1:24 mark looked great.

Getting frustrated in a good way trying to get through all the info & videos.

Threads like this are hilarious. All the people pointing out the bad things and NEVER the good things. I saw so many improvements in this video that I barely noticed the bad.

Yeah, that is something that carried over from 2K10, and it looks completely out of place. Especially when looking at the non-ball handlers movement, and seeing how realistic their movements are; it looks like the ball handler is moving at a completely different speed when they're bringing the ball up.

On to some brief impressions. The broadcast team sounds stellar, and it sounds like their actually calling a game with one another while being in the same arena, and this isn't even NBA Today stuff that we're talking about. I was really feeling the entire vibe from everything involving presentation; they just continue to push for authenticity and realism in that respect. The off-the-ball movement looks very good, and I hope that that same movement and urgency translate into plays when they're called. One neat thing that I noticed is how the players on the bench sometimes get up in anticipation of a dunk, or a 3 pointer; nice subtle touch.

The main thing that I didn't like about this video is the sporadic ballhandling, and in that sense, it did look similar to 2K10 with some of the hitches after a dribbling move is attempted (same with the footage from Gamescom). Didn't see many dribbling moves chained together, but instead a couple attempts at singular crossover moves, which the defenders had very little reaction to as they were in their defensive stances. I did like the bit of size up dribble that Nelson did as he seen a big on him, but I want to see someone playing who really has a handle on the controls because I don't really expect the CPU to show all the moves possible, and Ronnie2k obviously hasn't achieved the new isomotion.

Other than that, I thought the video was a respectable showing at this point.

Animations look stellar. Models look great.

The commentary is still pretty bad though. They still have those incredibly cheesy and forced lines.

The improvements have already been acknowledged when GC vids dropped. Some guys just think that this vid is worse than the GC ones in generall quality and polish, myself included.

C'mon guys, use your brain. It is obvious that the Heat/Mavs is a later build. Do you really believe that a company would go from more polished to less polished? Sheesh.

MAN i wish i could say what i wanted without being banned becasue some people on this site are so idiotic. The game doesn't look like 2K10, it's way smoother, better animations, textures, colors, commentary, sounds and player models. Old or new build the game still looks very very good.

Way too many over-the-head passes when we were told they were toned down. I am a little disappointed in this video but I hold out hope that the Heat-Mavs videos are the later builds. It might also be the person playing, but the Heat (cpu) in the Gamescom build seemed to be more aware of bad passes and did something about them. This video's gamestyle looked more on normal level and not simulation. The others looked way more sim than this.

But like so many have said, until we get hands-on with it this is all just talk.

I just refuse to believe that 2K would be going backwards in development the Gamescom videos had better spacing, more fluid and varied animations (including several new passing and bad pass animations not present in the Denver at Orlando video) Player body types appeared more varied and realistic, and had a better flow to both offense and defense the only thing really wrong from the footage from Gamescom was the high off the glass lay ups (which Mike Wang confirmed has been fixed) and cosmetic innaccuracies with accessories i.e. LeBron's logo placement on his headband and the calf sleeve sock bug. But other than that it looked light years ahead of 2K10. This footage looks like a slightly improved 2K10. Which is why I am hoping the Gamescom build was newer because it was on the right track and that footage had me salivating to play that game. This new footage just looks inferior.

arena seems more filled up in the heat games, meaning...yeh this is a early build

                            Some good, some bad.

First thoughts - run some plays Ronnie! Where's the sim attitude? Tough to tell much about spacing/drive-n-kick/mid-range improvements when the user doesn't call any plays. At least Melo got off a pair of J's without a rocket closeout though there were still a few instances where they still exist - though it's more of a challenge at least than a flying/leaping/superman closeout.

3:55 concerns me a lot, looks more like more brain dead teammates for help D/rotations. Vince strolls right down the lane for a back door dunk from the top of the key and no one on the Nuggs even budge to make an effort to rotate into the paint. K-Mart isn't tight enough on Shard for him not moving to make sense, Nene is locked into some animation with Duhwight. Just terrible man.

And it seems like once again the CPU rotations/D are on another level from the user. 5:22 is great rotation by the CPU. Smith gets his defender to bite on a pump fake, Duhwight comes up to challenge the elbow J and the weakside block defender slides into the paint. Solid stuff, now we just need the user to get that same level of help. And the result of the shot/rotation is realistic too, just Shard left in the paint to rebound against Nene and Martin and Martin comes up with the offensive board. Good stuff in all regards in this sequence.

I don't see any hint of the new passing stuff discussed in the blog, the passing looks exactly the same for the most part. A few instances of hitting a man in stride (the Vince dunk off the bat) but not enough. One or two new animations but by and large it looks the same. Any long pass is still right on the money. Where'd all the tipped passes go from the Germany vids?

One potentially amazing sequence for the CPU is at 4:30. I don't know if this was a set play or the CPU reacting to the user D in a CH2K8-esq fashion. Vince is coming off a baseline screen and fades to the corner instead of curling because Ronnie is going over the top of the screen instead of trailing. Brilliant, brilliant AI if that's a read-n-react from Vince.

ya this is the only problem I see in this vid, same annoying lines from clark. Hopefully NBA today will fix this.
