Thanks for the post Czar. Very informative.

I for one have been quite amazed with what I have seen from these videos. I can see some of the things you are articulating. The AI appears to play smarter than I've ever seen an AI play, and I can see many of the polished individual game elements such as collisions, passing, etc., somewhat forcing a true to life game of basketball. 2K has always been a game you have to play to appreciate; maybe this year even moreso than others. I've kind of been amazed at the reactions to the videos for that reason... this community of sim basketball lovers by and large have overlooked the nuances(in the videos) that might make 2K11 the best b-ball experience to date.

I'm glad Mike is scaling the fouls to 12 minn qtrs. We dont need 12 minn qtrs worth of fouls packed into a 5 minn ranked game. Then again I would rahter play 8 mins or more online. People are yelling foul on every no call. I didnt see one miss call in that vid.

HEY THIS IS MY OPINION. i had 2k10 and live 10 before.

on the 2k11 gameplay. i saw..
( but i will dl the demo when it comes out to check.)

-i didnt see a player falls down from shooting wen a player bump the offender. "0:48"
-lewis signiture shot is not real. live 10's lewis shot looks more real. "3:23"
-dwight could dunk it hard with one hand why lay-up? "1:22"
-jr smith shot is nice. "3:11"
-i like vince carter's dunkz
-few crossover
-too many effects like particle effects but its nice looks good
-i dont like nene spanks the head of his team mate "still in 2k10" "5:51"

Follow Afflalo as he hustles back on defence at the beginning. That's pretty bad AI. He's supposed to protect the basket, but instead he focuses solely on Nelson as Carter receives the pass for the open dunk. Same ol' AI issues for 2K. No wonder the CPU has always thrown lead passes for easy baskets.

Yeah either him or Melo should have been in the paint.

I saw a lot of things I liked in the video- but for me the best was simply the way the AI played. Until I read about the video (after watching it) I thought it was player vs player! Looks like offline / association players are in for a treat this year

I can NOT WAIT to get started in my association !!!

I hope I can also have a job like yours. LOL. Unfortunately, all we can do right now is to watch and salivate to the thought of playing the game.

Lighter mood question: Since you have mentioned about offball collisions, have you encountered any offball fouls or illegal screens in the game?

@ eko718 Yeah man I have also been shocked by the lack of recognition by some of my fellow compatriots but I have to remember that I have seen it up close AND played it.

@ Boiler Man I don't know if the mighty OS is really up to the task of the authentic team plays and sets this year ? It might be too much for em....:wink:

I wasn't complaining about the fouls guys. When I said unreal, I meant that I can't believe this day has finally come. I'd love to play 12 min games with a ton of free throws for both teams.

I think the new mid-air collisions have a lot to do with it. I'm very glad.

I could almost get to the line that much in 2k6. When you changed your shot it forced a lot of fouls.

Not necessarily. It could be like it is at MSG, like someone pointed out, that the cheerleaders in Orlando aren't courtside but instead go out.

Besides, you'd have to program the cheerleaders to do that in that arena which means it was deliberate. An earlier build, or basic cheerleader algorithm or whatever would have no cheerleaders or them just dissapearing.

I think it's deliberate. An Orlando Magic fan should comment on this.

At Magic games the girls position themselves on barstools just beyond the baskets after their routines.

I wonder why 2k took the walk the ball up animations? I always liked those. I think 2k9 was the last game that had them. Haven't seen them in any videos so far. I think they were the best in 2k8.
