I haven't played RTTS this year yet, but last year I played SS majority of the time as well as 2B, I just find it easier to read the ball from the middle infield instead of outfield. I've played a bit of 3B but they seem to hit a rocket right by me and I just stand there and watch the ball go through me so that gets a bit annoying

I have even tried SP but it gets boring quickly 'cause all you do is pitching from inning to inning.. so feels like it's all about repeating. If I ever do pitching again, it probably will be as a closer.

I've played second base every year I've bought The Show, as that's where I played when I was in school.

I usually end up starting a pitcher one, just to take on a different career path, but my first RTTS is always second base.

I used to do Right Field all the time, but I've switched to 2B because I switched in real life to. I usually start a SP one, but drift off it. I also am doing a closer, which has been great, except the time I didn't pitch for 2 weeks because of no oppurtunities.

3B or 2B for me, as those were the two positions I played back in the day when I actually played baseball

Always outfield; however, I play defense limitedly due to the camera angle. Not a big fan of running to a spot when the ball is too high for the camera to keep the ball and my player within the camera limits.

I like to be involved in some way in all the plays.
I will also make a pitcher sometimes.

Usually I like playing two RTTS campaigns. One as a Starting Pitcher (for the pitching obviously) and one as a Catcher (for the batting with minimum fielding requirements).

This year is a little different though, and for a big reason. I suck at calling the game as a catcher. Even in Franchise Mode I use API so I don't have to think about it. So now I'm sticking with pitching.

I'm usually a starting pitcher. This year I've been an outfielder because 1) I wanted to try it since I never had and 2) The issues with velocities being out of whack have made me not want to be a pitcher this year. But that's OK because I've had fun as a hitter this year.

Infield for me this year (2B), but I will probably start another RTTS career as a pitcher during the off-season (the real off-season that is). In MLB 09, I went through an entire career as a catcher and then SCEA announced the enhanced catcher's mode this year for MLB 10 (doh!). I did check out the new catcher mode when the game first came out and it seemed decent (lot's more to do obviously), but I wanted to change it up this year. Plus, they added my nephew's name to the database & he plays 2B in little league, so I re-created him as my player.

On a side note, even though my guy is a second baseman, once in a while he gets put behind the plate to catch after making a pinch hitting appearance. This surprised me because his secondary position is SS. It worked out well though because I was able to get a couple of the trophies for catching during one of these rare occasions ("Timing is Everything" & "Stolen Thunder").

I always play as a 3rd baseman. And I put my backup positions as OF as that's the positions I played when I was younger. Though if I end up wanting more easy points, I put him as a first baseman as he'd get putouts and points for a lot of ground balls.

Always do 2. a starting pitcher and a first baseman, would love to do a center fielder but refuse to till they fix the outfield camera, hopefully next year
