co-sign. I was just about to say that. Looks better than 2k10 model but still looks more like Damon than Deron.
EA and 2k have the unfortunate task of trying to balance on a tightrope of fun and sim while trying not to fall 10,000 feet to their death. Instead of a safety net waiting down below there will just be angry customers quick to move out of the way and talk of their failure.

This looks simply amazing. I'm speechless, the texture, the sweat, the tongue, the greatest of all time. 2k, the best.

They need to be shortened by a good 2-4". Way too baggy and makes him looks stocky and kind of clunky. Other than that the player model is really superb - particularly the 96-98 Jordan in the game.

After watching those pics the long baggy shorts that the Bulls players are wearing in the gamespot video looks really stupid and out of place.

I really hope they fix that in the final build.

There's a couple of things to keep in mind. First, all those pictures feature Jordan in flex. It's kind of like concluding Rodney Stuckey wears short shorts due to the photographic evidence below:

Second, the NBA were sticklers back in the 90's in regards to shorts length. There was a strict "two inches above the knee" policy that at some point fell by the wayside in the new millenium. In fact, a grievance was filed in 2005 after players like Jermaine O'Neal were continually fined for wearing them too long (even after the rule became just "0.1 inches above the knee". Point being, Jordan did not wear his shorts to the knees because the league did not allow it at that time.

Here's a picture that more closely depicts the length of Jordan's shorts (in his later years with Chicago):

Clearly not like today's shorts, but also not as jacked as some of his "mid-flight, shorts riding upward" photos tend to make it appear sometimes.

And yes, I know we're talking about 1992 specifically at this point; I was talking on a larger scale - the whole "judging from the jumping pics" thing.

There's probably been enough clamor about shorts to get 2K's attention. It's just surprising to see them in there when they've repeatedly stated in articles that the short length would be era specific.

I was sold before, but now its like icing on the cake. Im am so glad 2k didnt just slap jordan into the game as a playable character. This mode just adds more depth to the game. Damn 10/5/10 cant come fast enough!

Edit: Remember back in 2k on Dreamcast how they had 3 different sizes of short shorts? Why haven't we seen them in this generation at all?

I'd pay double the price for the game just to get the correct era specific shorts length and baggyness.

How come no accesories "vulture fan" has pointed out that MJ is wearing socks with his calf sleeve ? ... maybe I am a vulture by doing so ...

If it is available within the accesories and if colors are editable, we might have an alternative to go around the no socks calf sleeve bug.

On the other hand, I just hope that all generic players on the classic teams are "completly" editable ... so we can recreate the correct players by ourselves ... I am looking at you PHO´93 - Barkley.

I might be wrong but didn't one of the earlier NBA 2K's you could adjust the length of the shorts in the edit player option?

Why is his tongue not sticking out but remain inside his lips?
