Essentially is it saying that the top25 is rubbish? Right?.....

If anything have a one-game playoff to determine the winner, or since VTs conf record was 2 games better than any team in the Atlantic division make the ACC title game VT -vs- MIA. I'm not knocking the game NCAA11 for this, just the logic of the actual NCAA system.

But they beat you in conference play right??? why should they have to play a tie breaker vs you if they already beat you?

    maybe im missing your point..........

I understand that. They necessarily shouldn't, but if the Atlantic division has no one w/ a better conf record than two teams in the Coastal ACC why have a team come from each division? Its like the in the NBA...they top 16 teams should make the playoffs regardless of conference. I just think its stupid, but anyways....

JBH3, I feel you man. I think the whole system is flawed, and I know what you are saying. You aren't challenging the tie-breaker mentality, just how the whole BCS system works.

Just like my first season with tech, I went 12-0, went in to ACC game against FSU and beat them 30 to 7, and then DROPPED from #4 to #5 (behind WVU), and had to play Pittsburgh in the Orange Bowl. I beat them 50 to 7. Mis-match? I believe so. I got royally screwed there. I am sorry, but a 13-0 Hokie team deserves to be in the National Title game.

Agreed. And did you ever get screwed! I have half a mind to sim the Chick-Fil-A bowl game, but always deal w/ whatever results a simmed game deals me. That said, don't want a knock to prestige etc if I lose that game via sim...but I'm eager to start a-new w/ [hopefully] true-freshmen QB Daniel White.

Well, I lost to Michigan State 34-14. They had one of the toughest defenses I've played all year and couldn't do much. I had 4 turnovers, 2 of them gave them excellent field position. I kept it within 7-10 points most of the game, but they pulled away in the 4th.

            I'm 4-6 (3-4) with 2 games remaining. @ SJSU, @ Purdue.

I'll need to win both to get to .500 and possibly make a bowl game.

            In other news..

Only 2 teams remain undefeated in the 2012 season. #1 Alabama and #2 Penn State. Next week PSU plays @ Michigan St, if they can win that much it should be a lock for them to play in the championship game.

true, in my 3rd season right now with UL Monroe currently 9-1, only loss was to then ranked #1 texas, beat #7 florida state and been rolling since, beat miss state then beat an UNRANKED undefeated tcu squad handled them quit well, not to mention ive been 12-1 both of the previous two seasons. I checked the bcs I finally got ranked at #19 TCU is #9 I beat them head to head and they still some how leaped frog me. oh Florida state state is also top 10 bcs and beat them!!!

You owe it to yourself to put the smack down on the Volunqueers! Don't sim that game, man! Of course as long as I've ever played NCAA, I've never simmed a game. You can't sim in real life, so don't sim now!!! Tell me about this QB of yours...I am STILL struggling with my qbs.

Last night, UNC came to town and so did my defense. One of my best defensive performances EVER...holding them to 212 yards passing, but only 3 yards total rushing. After Chris Drager got injured, Zack McCray surely made a case for becoming our permanent starter...as he ended up with 7 total tackles, 6 TFL, 3 sacks, and a fumble recovery. Dude absolutely MANHANDLED their starting senior left tackle. We couldn't do anything on offense, as we punted 8 times (UNC punted 8 times as well), and we finally scored right before half time on 2 different interception returns for touchdowns, one of them by Eddie Whitley for 80 yards. 14-0 at half.

At half time, I subbed out JuJu Clayton and put in my JUCO Wilkinson, and finally got some chemistry going, although he only finished 4 of 8 for 84 yards and 1 td. JuJu finished 1 of 8 for 14 yards, PATHETIC!!!!!!!!!!! The story of the day, however, Darren Evans! He rumbled for 24 carries, 168 yards and 2 tds. Absolutely beasted the UNC defense! We ended up cruising to a 35-0 win, our first shut out of the year!

Next up, we are visiting the option attack of Navy! I got some BIG time recruits very close to signing, can't wait to play this game and see who we end up with. I am in the running for a 5* qb with b speed, a acc, and B+ on THA/THP. I hope I can make up the 180 point deficit. Also got a 6'5" 214 lb safety that is 1 tick away from signing with us, I hope I get him!! Taylor Mays' second coming anyone? B- speed, A- acc, b+ hit power, b+ jumping, c+ catching, b- agility, B+ in zone/man coverage....BEAST!!!

They rolled me. I was up 14-0 early in the 1st Qtr, then a fumbled returned for a TD brought it to 14-7, then turnovers after turnovers occur, I couldn't run the ball consistently, and never scored again after the 1st Qtr. VT defeated by TENN in the Chick-Fil-A bowl 55-14.

However, no one will be talking about this game...what they'd be talking about is how Ohio St got rolled in the Nat'l Championship Game...

LSU defeated Ohio St 44-0. Yes...thats right...44-0. The Buckeyes were intercepted 5 times, QB was sacked 3x, and LSU just demolished them. With 200 yds rushing and 200+ passing yds. Buckeyes also had a large amount of penalties. LSU has now re-emerged after having a couple down years in the SEC. They went 9-0 in the SEC on their way to a BCS title game berth. Had previously though it was Notre Dame and Ohio St or OK, and had forgotten all about LSU.

Fell asleep before I could finish up offseason tasks. I'm in the 3rd week of offseason recruiting, and appear to have locked up a 4* DE, a much needed 3* punter, and a 4* Guard.

I actually let McCray start for me in yr1 and he finished w/ 7 sacks. However, in yr 2 I was looking for more speed off the edge, and moved Tariq Edwards to LE and platooned McCray at RE. The Edwards experiment didn't increase my results, and he matched McCray in sacks but he wasn't as good in pass coverage . So I moved Edwards back to OLB, then to MLB his Sr. year, but he was injured in the first gm of the season and out for 10+ weeks; making his return in our bowl game.

Nice win. UNC has given me trouble in this game. They ended my 9-0 start in yr1, and I've won all games since but they have been too close.

LOL nice!!! I can't STAND Ohio State, so I love to see them get romped. But shame on you losing to Tennessee (although I can't say much, I lost to Duke lol).

And yea man, here is the thing with McCray on mine. I didn't control him for a single snap, and that is how his stats ended up. He is at right end, filling in for Chris Drager, and I control left end Hamlette.

and yea, UNC can be tough. They shut my offense out for an entire half, until I finally piece together some big runs with Darren Evans and broke them down enough. 16 punts total between the 2 teams...ouch!!

So who are you scheduling this next up coming season?

                      Re: NCAA11 Off-Line Dynasty Progress

Just finished year 1 of my Ohio State dynasty the other night, went 13-0 (8-0) and beat Alabama 23-20 on a GW FG as time expired to win it... just an absolute classic of a game, I was down 20-10 going into the 4th and Pryor led us on the comeback.

Pretty **** year in general. Had an OT win over Miami 30-27, a defensive slugfest against Illinois which I won 17-6, and then the next week I had a shootout 47-34 with #5 undefeated Wisconsin (Pryor threw for 339 yards and 4 TD's). Couple weeks later I beat Minnesota 31-21, my RB Brandon Saine went OFF: 33 carries, 325 yards and 3 TD's. Just went OFF. Came into the Iowa game at 10-0, #1 in the nation... facing the 10-0, #2 in the nation Hawkeyes. Classic of a game, I won 27-23 when I stopped them on 4th and goal at the 7 yard line. Then I curbstomped Michigan 41-6.

Pryor had a great year and threw for 3200+ yards, 33 TD and 9 INT, and ran for over 600 and 8 TD. He finished 4th in the Heisman voting, too. Saine tacked on 1200+ yards and 12 TD as well. My only award winner was Brewster winning the Rimington... which surprised the hell out of me since his pancake stats were pretty much HALF of the second place guy, but its probably cause he didn't give up a sack while the second place guy gave up 8.

Pryor bolted for the NFL, so I've gotta fill his shoes. I'm about to finish up recruiting in a couple of minutes.

Don't know. I was thinking of giving me a cupcake in wk1 since I'm hoping to start 4* QB recruit Daniel White as a freshmen; gonna test him out in practices first. Plus, I'm going to move from a Pro-Style offense to either a Pistol or a One-Back. Four years of the Pro-Style offense has lost its touch.

Since I faced off w/ both BAMA and Michigan I think I may do a 4-yr home and home w/ one of them. Probably BAMA since they beat me in Blacksburg, and going into Bryant-Denny stadium and getting a win could really spark my BCS title hopes; or just be another loss.

Its Nat'l Champ. or bust time. Four yrs of top25 results, two yielding pre-season and season-end top10 campaigns, and this program has got to start getting into serious title contention. Have yet to crack the top5.

                          Holy goodness.

                          I just landed the mother of all good recruiting classes. All-American recruiting difficulty: #1 overall class, 8 5*, 10 4*, 1 3*.

Ohio was absolutely loaded this year. Solidified my offensive line as well as my defensive backfield. Oddly enough I signed 3 TE's total... to go with the 3 already on my roster. Wow, should've thought that one through, hopefully one of them can play another position.

I signed a 5* QB named Reggie Tidwell, and he came in at an 83 ovr, 89 speed with 88 THP and 85 THA, the highest rated QB the moment he came on the roster. I was gonna let Joe Bauserman (82 ovr, pocket passer) start his senior year... but now I've got a decision to make.

With Arkansas I have had a lot of success recruiting TE's as well. So to offset this i have stopped recruiting FB's and have started moving TE's to FB. I run mainly 1-back or Shotgun sets, but now when I need a FB they are usually more agile and better recievers than the other FB's that I would be bringing in.

Week 10, Year 2 of my Utah dynasty:

Just lost 44-21 to #25 Arkansas. I was really mad at myself because it was 24-21 going into the 4th quarter, but I completely lost it and threw a couple of pick sixes.

I'm worried about my recruiting class too. Why am I so bad at recruiting? I have no commits at this point, and I'm in Week 10. Its really weird.

#1 is still Iowa and #2 is now South Carolina, who have been rejuvenated by the play of QB Stephen Garcia. We'll see what happens.

I just played the first game of my Tennessee dynasty against Arkansas State. The video highlights are uploading to YouTube at the moment, so I'll bring that in here when it's all finished up.
