Hmmm. No fouls at all, some advantage called but are you serious with the lack of fouls?

I thought pinball passing was gone and that players had to gather their first touch. Seems like all players pass like Xavi/Pirlo, all pinpoint, not much gathering of the touch at all. Gets to the player and is quickly perfectly passed on. I don't care who the teams are, that shouldn't happen save for a few skilled passers.

Still can just go up and take the ball away with no consequence, not good.

Announcing is still awful and the atmosphere is a joke. Seemed indicative of a match down the road at the local high school, not a match between two European powers.

At least these guys played the game with some semblance of how real futbol is played, didn't race for the goal, etc. Still, this game seems tired. Is it fun, yes it is fun to play and the animations are great. Still just doesn't feel like futbol, and that gets me bored quickly.

Not sure if the stadium has any effect on the atmosphere, but they aren't playing at the Emirates or Bernabeu. Looks like a generic Football League stadium.

As for the passing, I don't know if the Pro Passing thing is supposed to make it more like manual, but at some points it looked like manual (players having to run to slightly errant passes) and sometimes it looked like it was on assisted.

Looks like FIFA 10 with newer animations and more fluid ball movement.

The announcing, to me, was bad only due to the bad programming. Tyler kept interrupting himself to catch up on the most immediate action.

As for the atmosphere, I'd hope that wouldn't be an issue. They (pretty much) captured it greatly in WC2010 (I haven't played any other FIFA game in like 4~6 years and I can't even remember it), so I assume it won't be too dull in the bigger stadia in FIFA.

As for the fouls, passing, etc, maybe these 2 players are just godly players (they are the devs afterall)? Or maybe they had settings a certain way? I'm not sure what the point of this video was, probably just to show some new animations, more fluid play, etc etc.

Seems very similar to 10 to me. I had alredy decided to go back to PES this year but this video further confirms that choice IMO.

Re: 12 min video - Arsenal v. Mardrid

Well, some good and bad things as always.

I'll start with the bad ones. The commentary could have been MUCH improved ! I mean you can listen to other sports games commentary and you'll see that in FIFA it's really poor. I hope they'll think about it for next year, coz' the commentary is a major factor for having pleasure while playing.

Also, as many of you have already said, the ambiance is horrible. Ok it's not a big stadium, but it's Real Madrid et Arsenal playing, c'mon. And I don't think it will change a lot if you play in Old Trafford either.

Sometimes the passing seemed realistic, sometines not, but I guess it's all about who's holding the pad, so not a big point for me.

Now the good things. The first, and the biggest for me, is that FIFA is now a game you can WATCH without being bored or whatever. I mean just look at the video, only 1 goal, not so many shots, but still it was good to watch. And if it is so good watching, it must feel great playing, no ?

Beside that, i liked the running, goal keeping, crosses and all that come with it. The only thing in these things that didn't made my happy was the speed of the game. Fluid yes, but too speedy. But I think we can adjust that in the settings.

And finaly, and most important, is that the poor baby Gunners lost and the Merengues won, isn't it ?

In terms of lack of fouls, let's not forget this is a human vs human match. Plus, that will effect how the passing is. I know it's disappointing to be able to pass how you want with anyone, but I think when you play the AI, the changes they've discussed will shine through more.

                            i liked:

back 4 seemed smarter they didnt just give up the box by retreating from strikers.

                            i disliked:

                            pitch size

everyone has messi's touch, makes the game a race on goal.

                            everyone passes wayyyyy too accurately

cpu still wont jump to help the user on defense of set pieces, in other words the guy i jump with is the only guy jumping for my team

Yeah, the passing is still much too accurate and it looks like pinballing will still be the gameplan again. The one thing about FIFA's passing that needs changing is not only the overall accuracy, but the accuracy and ability to make pinpoint passes while pressured. Players are still able to make perfect passes while facing in the wrong direction as well.

It's an effort to gain wide appeal, sure. The majority of people want to race up and down the pitch and not have to play 15 min halves with buildup play and actual tactics, but that's just how FIFA is. Can't expect them to mess with a winning formula.
