True, this is the route I chose. Me personally, I think 45 minutes to go through a 35 page post is pretty good. Anyway, bottom line is we have 2 NBA games to choose from with drastically different approaches to the game. If you can only buy one, then buy the one that best represents NBA basketball to "YOU."
The nature of most of these criticisms are trivial at best. Every game has flaws, misrepresentations of fundamentals, and WTF moments. NHL 10 is a great game but it has a number of those elements I stated above. It appears that the expectations are not in line with the capabilities of the Dev crew at this time. This is a fact they themselves have addressed.
My earlier post was an expression of exasperation at the countless number of posts that slammed this gameplay video for presentation issues when it was stated early on by the developers that this was not the focus of this year's iteration.
If this is a deal breaker for you, then you have a choice as a consumer where to spend your money. Constructive criticism is appreciated by the dev's I'm sure, but some of the posts here are just meant to discredit and devalue the work put in by these guys. And as a IT developer myself,(Information systems, not Games) I kind of take offense at the tenor of some these so called criticisms in the name of consumerism.
