Thanks for the impressions, I'm looking forward to finding time to get a Be A GM season off the ground this year

      Hey,
I appreciate you answering the questions, I'm not sure if you misunderstood this or just missed it.

I'm also pretty curious about teams with college prospects, are they neglected in the game?

Wow, this might seem crazy... But will Nikita Filatov be in this game?

NVM, he's a member of the PA

Does the CHL get simulated every year as well?

In general, were you able to make any observations about how the CHL and prospects maintains itself?

Thanks QB. Top notch work as usual.
Was wondering this as well. Are we able to view a potential draft pick's CHL stats when we're scouting them, or at the very least on draft day?

I hope so. Gonna be way better than looking at 3 ratings to figure out who to draft.

I wonder how far the rights extend, for example . ..

Olive Ekman-Larsson is one of the most highly touted defensive prospects in a long time, and has signed an ELC. But I don't believe(could be wrong) he played in a league within NHL 10 last year. It would suck to have to wait till the first roster update to start a GM Mode.

Re: Be A GM -- Hands On

This is such an incredible post, thanks so much Qb for the time in making this thread. I love Be a GM mode and with the new added features/additions it makes NHL 10's look like crap.

This has made me more hyped for NHL 11, but more specifically Be a GM Mode. Can't wait 4 1/2 more days.

Re: NHL 11 Hands-On: Be a GM Impressions

Nice write up QB, so so so happy to hear that it appears that trade logic being improved has actually panned out to be true. Love the additions of RFA & UFA's and the CHL intergration as well. GM mode should be something pretty special this year from the looks of things.

When you look at a player's stats, does it now show what team they played for or does it still have just the league (AHL, NHL, etc.) and can we track how our prospects are doing in their various leagues?

                        Thanks for your answers!

Thanks so much Qb for taking the time and energy to do this for us. Excellently done!

Man oh man, right off, the depth of GM mode to me is a bit overwhelming. I know nothing about all of the different rules governing the things that have been added. Looks like I've got a lot of learning to do! Absolutely love the depth that's been added. And the seemingly high probability that things have been done correctly.

I spent countless hours fiddling around with GM mode last year. I'm almost afraid to think about the time I'll spend with this mode, this year. Can't wait to get started. Thanks again Qb!

Do they offer the option to play a reduced schedule (i.e. 29 games)? The mode sounds awesome, but I hate simming games & I don't have time to play through 82 so I'd never get through a season

so my 1st question is I'm used to playing Dynasty and BAP mode now, really interested in this GM mode so how exactly does this start out. Can I draft my players or just what exactly should I expect?
