Do this today: Instead of $%*#!@& on a game you're not going to play or movie you're not going to watch, say something good about a piece of media you're excited about.
Do the same thing tomorrow. And the next. Now do it forever.Comment

I truly believe this game will be a patching nightmare. I just can't believe this is what we are getting in October. Now I know why Embargos exist. LolThe poster formerly know as "FLIGHTWHITE"Comment

All fair critique.
The only thing I wanted to point out is that the ankle breakers happen in response to user input and aren't a direct result of what the dribbler is doing. So it is possible for them to play in odd situations if the user is doing the wrong thing.
They happen if you trigger a defensive hop and then change directions too quickly, or if you attempt too many steals while changing direction frantically.
So although it's true that it looks odd in this clip, it is as a result of user input which is consistent across the board.
With all due respect sir, why didn't you touch on the other instances pointed out in the video?Comment

Re: NBA Elite 11 OS Exclusive Video: Oklahoma City Thunder @ Detroit Pistons
At what point does the "odd" looks and views of the game fall back on the development team instead of attributing it to the end user? For the game to look realistic, the user needs to perform the moves correct 100% of the time?
Anyone watching the game is going to have a field-day pointing out how weird things look. Is that Tayshaun Prince breakaway layup attempt --starting at 3:21 in the video -- is another example of user input gone wrong? It looked nasty...Comment

What do you mean?
He pointed out some flaws in the game, he's right, except for the ankle breaker one which I explained.
What more would you like to know? I'll watch it again and see if there's more insight I can provide, but the video speaks for itself.Comment

What is with all the un called for no look passes, it happens like every other pass. These clips really don't help EA, they just make it easy for people to bash them more.Comment

Re: NBA Elite 11 OS Exclusive Video: Oklahoma City Thunder @ Detroit Pistons
I'm pretty sure that's a user control thing. I forget the name of he control, but the right stick passing gives you the no look pass among other things.Comment

Add me to the list. Very nice post.Co-sign PM. I am with you and The Admiral.
Somehow they've managed to derail this series yet again. Blocks dropping to the floor, guys rebounding in the wrong directions, no fastbreak logic (guards still run to the wings, not the hoop), horrible animations...
Oh well. I've been stupid enough to stick by this series for a hell of a long time now. After the mess that was NCAA basketball and EA's complete failure to support that game / bugs left all through it.........i am kind of glad to be off the EA basketball train and not buying any of their stuff this season. Even though NCAA was highway robbery with it's bugs, I'd still have spent my $$$ on Elite if it was good as I love basketball games. It looks terrible though, so it's an easy decision not to get it.Twitter - WTF_OS

OK, here's another thought...
In my opinion the critique about the offensive board may not be quite fair.
Hard to tell, but I think the defensive player simply jumped too early and the offensive player timed his jump better which is why he got the board.
I agree that the contact animation and physics looks a little unnatural, but it is dynamic and the outcome played out in real time and wasn't predetermined when the defensive player jumped.Comment
