    NHL11 Retail Version Q&A

While I cannot answer questions based on my time with the full game, others may choose to do so. If they do, this will be the place for it.

Please post all of your NHL11 questions in here and please be patient in waiting for answers... in other words, please don't repeatedly post the same question.

    Thank you for your cooperation.

    And I'll start the fun...

Who is going to be the first to do some simming to see how the CPU managment and sim results in GM mode shake out? We know what the previous issues were, so let's get the scoop for the community.

Yes, I know I can do it, but I can't share it, so who does that help?

Anyone who has the game can you answer me this question please.
How is the framerate in the game because there were some tiny
bits of slowdown in the demo. Thanks

Are the teams that have new jerseys coming in later this year (Ducks, Canucks) have those jerseys? Are they blacked out and will a code have to be entered in at a certain point? Or are they just not there at all?

Also, do previous teams have their Winter Classic jerseys, like the Red Wings?

There is a NHL code entry, they have them blacked out with a padlock in front of them!

Re: NHL11 Impressions (Retail Version only)

Hey guys. Long time lurker, first time poster!

My question is for Levesque7, who said in a closed thread that he was going to give HUT impressions. I was wondering if you could tell us how many EA pucks you get for each accomplishment. Ie -- how many pucks is a win by 1 goal worth? 2? 3? What other in-game achievements get you pucks?

Additionally, can you tell us how much each pack of cards costs?

I'm essentially trying to figure out if HUT can be played without having to succumb to microtransactions. If it plays like Madden's system, which is basically engineered to maximize annoyance unless you pay for EA points, I will be disappointed.

Do the Sharks their 20th anniversary logo in the game? Do the arenas have their names written around the center circle because in some videos the names aren't there?

Hey Qb, sorry for opening that other thread. I didn't see this one.

I am playing HUT, so for anyone with questions about HUT let me know. I just played my first game.

I got Toews in my pack that I got for beating the demo tourney. When I click Bio, it says I am the very first owner of J.Toews in the EAUHL!!

No worries, I think yours was up a few minutes before. It's just easier to keep Q&A in one place since it seems we're going to have a lot of people with the game in their grubby mitts.

I can tell you it can you it definitely seems possible to play without using microtransactions.

I earned 598 EA pucks in my first HUT game, while only playing on All-Star. It was a 4-0 win. I got 200 completion bonus. I can tell you that goals are worth 40 EA pucks a piece and goals against are worth -25. There are also other categories, Faceoffs, shots, hits, that are worth 1 puck a piece. Icing is -5 each. Offside is a minus, but i'm not sure how much yet.

I got a pucks multiplier of x.1.10 for playing on All-Star.

There may be more categories for pucks but I already closed the post game screen and that's the only place to see them as of now that I can tell.

I will post after my next game to let you know if there are any I missed.

Are you calling my mitts grubby? Sounds like the pot calling the kettle black to me. lol

At least I only got it today. Unlike someone else.

Thats really great news. Glad to know that micro transactions don't appear to be totally necessary to get anywhere with HUT.

In FIFA, there was a multiplier for not quitting games. The more games you went without quitting early, the higher the multiplier got. It was pretty nice and rewards people for not quitting even if they're getting killed.
