    Technical Fouls this year?

With the addition of Hard fouls this year does anyone Know If technical fouls will be called this year? That would make NBA2k11 the most realistic Bball game of all time. As all us of basketball fans know technical fouls often time determine the outcomes of games, and would really put the game out of reach to me!!!

No technical fouls/flagrants/double-fouls or double-technicals. Unfortunate but Stern says no so nothing 2K can do.

I just don't get this. The 2003 edition of the other game had flagrant fouls. It's all Ron Artest's fault.

Stern says It will be detrimental to the nba, but how! 95% of nba staff and players & viewers would say yes to it.

If stern doesn't like techs and flagrants, then why doesnt he take those rules out of the nba! One of these days stern has got to allow this, I mean people wont stop watching the nba!

Hey what ever the guy want out of the game make it so because without him that other company would have bought the rights to the NBA as well, so I can't be mad at him for anything.

              nah not this year.
It may have been a nice addition, but i guess i can see where 2k is coming from. If you have like a technical foul meter (many suggested), the game would become too arcade like and it wouldn't really benefit in terms of trying to win a game or something.

Flagarant fouls on the other i guess could be possible, for example trying to foul when it's dangerous (behind a dunking player), but it probably won't be in the game either this year. Perhaps in the future

Like everything,.. it boils down to money. Its hard to fathom and even harder to calculate just how much money the NBA lost when the Pacers ran up in the stands. The NBA lost a lot of fans that day. Stern has been trying to distance the image of the league from that INEVITABLE instance ever since.
The last thing Stern needs is reminders of the fact that happened those years ago and parents, after witnessing flagrant fouls in 2K, preaching to their kids why they shouldn't watch the NBA, refusing to buy their kids the game, etc.

I'm pretty sure Stern will remove the defense from the NBA in 10 years or so...

I get what you're saying but I don't think it's nearly as bad as you (or Stern for that matter) think it is. Forget that the NHL promotes fighting on the back cover of their games and parents still rush to purchase that game. Forget how violent the "hit stick' hits are in madden and NCAA football. And my favorite is the Road to the Show Baseball game that allows you to beam players, get a warning from the ump, get thrown out by the ump, then have players rush the mound starting a big fight (although you don't get to watch actual fight).

I guess it has to do with politics? I suppose Stern thinks it will give the NBA a bad rep but big deal it happens every season. I wish it was allowed though because that would make the game pretty fun. The technicals would have to be pretty random though right when talking about the CPU?
