As I see it, this is a totally unimportant patch.

First of all - Sorry guys the TACKLE stat is NOT fixed.

Secondly the strategy pad is now made so that you can use the old controls (as in madden 10). But the pad still appears as the new one. Seems rather confusing to me. I might just switch off the new changes 'cause I was kind of getting used to the new pad.

Thirdly there is still no chance of coming succesfully away from trying to use play-action. The defense does just not bite.

Maybe I see a slight increase in the kick return blocking or maybe I've just been getting lucky. Gets the ball to between the 25 and 30 now regularly. That seems fine to me.

Lastly it seems that EA thought we all need to become more aware of breast cancer. Okay I can understand that, but don't you ruin my game because of it.
Now all a sudden every single player wear pink gloves, shoes, wristbands. The goal posts are pink along with half the crowd. In addition to this the NFL Logo is set in front of a pink ribbon and in the bottom of the game screen it says "Breast Cancer Awareness" in horrid pink letters instead of eg. "Monday Night Football" ... At least give me an option to turn it off?

Normally I'm very pleased with the developer's work, but this... This is just rubbish.

EDIT: Oh yeah, and they've added Madden Moments Live. Not really sure if this i a feature that will be well utilized.

I'm playing an exhibition game and I'm not seeing anything like that - everything's normal. If it's in franchise, what week are you in?

i actually think that is pretty cool that they added that in because it happend about half the year last year with the players wearing pink and stuff

With existing franchise:

gameflow still calls a "normal" play on 1st downs when cpu calls a 3+ wr set.

Still rains in Cowboys stadium

I'm playing an exhibition game and I'm not seeing anything like that - everything's normal. If it's in franchise, what week are you in?

Breast Cancer awareness month is October, so if it's now in October games, that's very cool.

Oh yeah sorry. I was playing franchise with the Broncos. Week 6 vs the Jets. Since it annoyed me I tried to move on to week 7 @ Raiders. Same thing.

Just tried to start a franchise with the Bucs to see if it was a consistent thing. Guess I was a little quick there. But anyway

Week 6 and 7 makes sense. It should be week 4 though 8.

Yep, that's what it is...starts in the first week of October, and goes away in the first week of November. Just checked each game in Oct and then Nov to verify it.

Gonna drive some people nuts for a few games, but yeah, that's pretty cool.

Edit: There's also a "Play Now" selection for Breast Cancer Awareness on the Main Menu, much like the Super Bowl option.

Are you talking about the patch who starts when you load the game? It was a update to load, but I have nothing you mentioned above in my Madden 11 menu! I use a Xbox 360.

Did you just get the game or haven't updated recently? There was a release day patch from some time ago (that's why this one is 1.02).

Some patches are hard to tell if you have them or not, but this one's pretty cut and dry IMO. There are two clear signs right on the main menu that you have it - if it your main menu doesn't look like this, something's wrong:

Just finished a franchise game. Based off this one game, I'd say LBs are able to change direction quickly (I have a few studs tho from the draft), and pro tak appears to work except when the runner is on his way down from the first tackler.

Have to agree.. Before when the bAll was snapped it would take a second before u felt lime u had full control... Almost like their acceleration was on 0.. But now it feels like u have control of him 100% of the time!!
