Re: NCAA Football 11 Patch #3 and Live Tuning Pack 3 Available (PS3)
All American was absolutely ruined for me with the second patch. I have had fun on Heisman with slider adjustments but for me AA was ruined. I'm not exagerating either. When I can put cpu run block at 100, human rush defense at 0 (and cpu RBA at 65) and have the best run defense in the country by over 300 yards at the end of the year with no LB rated higher than an 83 in a 3-4 defense, there was a major problem FOR ME.Rudy,
Some of your comments pertaining to the game having been "ruined" after the patch were highly misleading. I was able to get a decent game out of the CPU by testing and tweaking the sliders. I think a good majority of the community would agree that the game was still very playable after the 2nd patch and provided a good experience. I do agree the CPU running game to a bit of hit and I have never made an argument against that, but ruined... c'mon man.
Again, if you found the cpu running game fine then good for you. But for me it was ruined and there were quite a few others that felt the same way. We may have been in the minority but don't put words in our mouths.
We both felt the same way. I'll test the cpu running game out tonight on both AA and Heisman.Comment

Exactly. It was in last years gm and players would get minimum stats weekly. Especially when your in dynasties and teams like Texas, USC and Alabama are grabbing all the top players and your left with junk. At least with player progression those junky players could pick up a little attributes here and there. Im not looking for anything crazy just something. Im in year 3 in a dynasty and my team is Miami and they cannot compete with those programs due recruits going with the top schools.Comment

I bought my game new but my online code did not work. So I bought the online pass. I have the tuner pack. This is the second tuner pack I believe. In my last dynasty it did have progression after the season in training results.I just found out that if you bought the game used and are not signed up with EA's Online Pass you will not see any progression or receive tuner packs. I just found out the hard way. I notice a lot of ppl saying they don't see progression and some saying they do. For the ppl who don't see it, is your game used, and if not, did you redeem the online code for Online Pass in the instruction booklet? A user named Rebel10 posted about this a few pages back.
This new patch or tuner was suppose to add in season progression. I don't see it. Maybe a ps3 issue? I will wait to see what the 360 guys say.Last edited by Titus001; 09-07-2010, 02:39 PM.GO BUCKS!Comment

Re: NCAA Football 11 Patch #3 and Live Tuning Pack 3 Available (PS3)
I completely agree, patch 2 did ruin AA and even Varsity. I was using PM's sliders, which were giving me good games, with realistic results, but once patch 2 came, PM's sliders were unplayable, not by his fault, but because of how nerfed the CPU Offense became. The running game went out the window and there were at least 5 Turnovers for the CPU every game. So i had to switch to SN's Heisman sliders, which are working out great, but it shouldn't have been necessary to switch. All American was absolutely ruined for me with the second patch. I have had fun on Heisman with slider adjustments but for me AA was ruined. I'm not exagerating either. I am certainly not trying to "put words in other people's mouths" but I think it is unfair for you to make a generalized judgement of the game and persuade perspectives based on your experience with the game. The comment I made to sundown was based on my opinion and my experience. I do think that statements such as "the game is broken after the patch" are in my opinion "crap." Let people judge the game for themselves.Comment

Re: NCAA Football 11 Patch #3 and Live Tuning Pack 3 Available (PS3)
I dont know what game you were playing last year but certain players progressed on a weely basis. And honestly just shrugg it off because honestly you lost credibility anyway. Am I the only one who saw player progression on a weekly basis? Please respondThis feature wasn't even in the last few years games, were they also "broken"? God I am getting so tired of that word. The pump fake glitch is actually broken. The CPU run slider was borderline broken. In-season progression being minimal or non-existent is at worst a slight inconvenience - a window-dressing feature that has little bearing on how the game plays. Even at its peak in the PS2 years, players never progressed more than a couple points overall during the season.
Anyway: play a season and cough up a spreadsheet, or I'm just going to shrug this off. When the head developer at EA says it only affects a few players per team and only up to 1 point OVR for the entire season, that tells me that the differences are going to be minimal and hard to spot. I don't know how I can trust someone telling me that they just sorta looked and nothing changed.Comment

Yes there was in season progression last year. This patch is suppose to make it more subtle. I have to see it for myself. Not to say I dont believe you about this years, but I gotta see it.Comment
