    My impression so far of patch 3:
    1. Pocket during pass plays is looking much better. Again not sure why, but both the CPU and human line interaction are much better.

    2. However, a better pocket means less of a pass rush. Bump up human and cpu pass rush and lower cpu and human pass blocking some. Offensive lineman look more dominant and block better according to ratings. Slow guys will get beat by speed rush, but behemoths will crush opposing d-linemen. CPU pass blocking hardly ever misses a block while human blocking misses more often.

    3. The CPU Qb accuracy slider needs to be lowered considerable along with human Qb slider (a little less). RoboQB could still be an issue. Still not seeing as many overthrows and underthrows as I did pre-patch 2.

    4. Qb's will now scramble when receivers are covered, which is a welcomed change. Doesn't happed every time, but definitely more often. However, CPU Qb still does not take enough sacks, and tends to make really crazy throws that are either picked off or magically perfect and completed.

    5. CPU Run game is much improved. CPU Run blocking needs to be bumped up a couple notches, but the cpu can do some somes. Also, lower human rush defense. When you do, teams like Alabama or GT (well maybe not GT cause CPU cant run complicated offenses) can be dominant, forcing you to put 7 in the box.

    6. Coverage mirroring and man coverage in general has been lowered. Zone is more of a viable option, but Robo Qb kinda hurts here someitmes. Both human and CPU coverage can be slightly increased.

    Finally, a good tip for any slider set. Do you want see less fumbles and more organic tackling? Just lower both human and cpu tackling to 40 or 45. Now, it will mostly take 2 or more guys to bring a RB down. Good tacklers will still do good solo, and the pro-tak engine will activate more, which is much more realistic

      just as soon as it's released.

      generally i'm not one to complain, but i specifically came in to work yesterday when we were closed for the holiday to get caught up so i could sit back and enjoy everyone's impressions.

      what do i find after almost a week of waiting? no patch for the 360, and 18 pages of people pissing and moaning about 1 thing or another, sprinkled in with 7 posts of any sort of a post patch impression.

      the patch not being released is beginning to upset me this late in the day yes.

                      Too bad there is no pocket scout program that works with the PS3 or we could figure this out in a matter of minutes by just downloading a save file and running it through the program. Oh well, guess we'll have to wait for the 360 patch to see the true results of this.

                        I played an online game just after the patch released early this morning, it was before the tuner set was released, so it was probably a mistake for me to play, but I was bored.

                        I was Michigan running Air Force's option playbook with Robinson. He was Auburn running the Auburn spread. I absolutely dominated this guy running the ball.

                        The odd part about the game was my defense vs. him. He tried running four verticals all game and was not successful at all. I ran a combination of straight man and Cover 2 Buc in Nickel 335 and he ended up throwing 4 INT's. Now this guy was terrible, so this probably wasn't a good judge, but I did find that zone coverage was much better than pre-patch. Man coverage was very loose, but I found success in dropping my DB's way off the line of scrimmage. They reacted a lot better to deep routes. Whenever I pressed, my guys got burned pretty bad. I'm not sure how much of a role the press rating has in that, but I thought it was interesting.

                        Pass protection wise, I didn't see any improvement. He sacked me a few times with 4 man rushes when my OL didn't even bother touching a guy. I sacked him a few times on huge blitzes, but most of my sacks came when he tried scrambling and I was in DE Contain.

                        I don't know, it was just one game vs a terrible opponent and it was before the tuner set, but I don't see any overwhelming changes. I'll hop on in a bit and see what else I notice.

                                Pass defense is atrocious. Zero pressure unless you blitz. Zones are broken to the point of almost being worthless, and now man can get gashed for huge gains with relative consistency.

                                Really, the only people that you aren't going to be able to complete 80% of their passes, or at least pass with tremendous effectiveness, are those that aren't very good.

                                I just played Va Tech with Pittsburgh, who has 2 impact DEs. You'd think that I could be able to generate a decent pass rush and slow them down by sitting in zone and waiting for Taylor to make a mistake. But they got absolutely no rush at all. He'd drop back and wait 5+ seconds and then simply scramble around and either throw it away or take off for positive yards. So then I started bringing blitzes, but of course that opened up holes in coverage. I ended up winning on the back of a few interceptions, but it was clear that there's no way to consistently play good defense. It's more or less NCAA '09 with slightly better man to man defense (aka Madden).
