(AP)- Despite being outshot 28-13, the Buffalo Sabres managed to win their second pre-season game 3-2 in front of 15,011 at Scotiabank Place in Ottawa. Dennis Persson, the Sabres 2006 1st round pick, picked up the game winner, and Steve Montador had 2 assists in the effort.
Patrick Lalime made 26 saves, and kept the Sabres in the game single-handily. The Sabres have one more pre-season to go, a game against the Boston Bruins at TD Garden. Jhonas Enroth will make the start.
