Does anyone know if you have to restart your online franchise for the updates to work or not?
and does anyone know what this does "• Scouting has been added to Online Franchise games"
i cant see any sort of scouting at all

What was wrong and then changed with the Vikings Alternates and other jerseys?

I'm assuming it fixed the Jaguars stripe on the front of the jersey, they changed it to fit the captain patch last year and the game shipped with the original style.

To me, its borderline lying what they said in regards to this a month or so ago


They need to explain themselves about how and why they have refused to put the "true" old controls back into the game after they said they heard the community on this

I was all set to jump on board in the next week or so with this game,all happy to be returning to another season of NFL, but sadly Im left feeling like Clark....

The patch isn't fixed. The pre-snap controls are now FUBAR.

Left analog stick does nothing and LB/DL shifts dont work even w/ dpad. I hit RB and then left on the dpad and it put one of my LB into a corner zone.

Totally and 100% false. I was able to shift my DL and LB's just fine using the method you claim doesn't work. Additionally, I was also able to press my coverage or back off using the old style "Y" plus up or down on the d-pad.

Are you guys who are saying this isn't working even doing it right?

Same here worked fine for me on xbox 360 offline getting ready to try it online.

Only one that doesn't work is oline shift but I can live with that just press down on the d pad instead on left trigger.

Everything works just like it use to not sure why people are having problems.

This is great now I won't have so much trouble switching between this and NCAA.

It runs 25 off the game clock, but only 20 off the play clock.

Maddening isn't it?

Wow I didn't realize, now I think EA did it on purpose, to give us more time to make adjustments, however it's like having a 45 second play clock, weird....

TJ, i've been playing madden for the past 16 years, I know how shift my guys around. It isnt working for me. The left analog stick does nothing and when i use the d-pad (hit right bumper to engage LBs and then left on the dpad) it put my LOLB in a corner zone. doesn't make any sense but its what is happening on my system. Shut down, restart, same thing.

It is not the Madden 10 way it is like a hybrid of the SP and M10

I thought we were told that they were going back to M10's way and it is not that way for me.

i been trying to download this patch and every time it finish downloading and starts to install an error message pops up saying en error occurred during the install operation (80029564)......does any one know why its doing this and or know how to fix it? because wont let me play online unless i have to patch

Im glad that this patch is out. It will prob be the last patch I use for Madden this year. Update 1.03 looks like it will do more harm than good.

Two things here:

1) Gameplay balancing. Gameplay isnt bad now. And I guarantee that the "gameplay balancing" in 1.03 will make certain areas of gameplay worse and make the game unplayable. They did this last year, and the NCAA team has done it this year.

2) Improved KR blocking. Umm no. Im returning kicks for TDs too much as it is. You just gotta get the right guy, not every returner in the NFL can return tds every other week. Improved blocking is going to give me like 2-3 a game.

I just wish the roster update would have came to day too. I heard froma Mod over at EA that it will be out Thursday though, so im ready!!!

Read it again<<<... that fix and other GP fixes are not coming until later in month.. this patch is from around the time that the demo dropped.

yea that works, but when you press Y and then left on the left stick it doesn't put guys into the show blitz formation(where your team stacks the box and looks like they're gonna blitz)

also, on offense slide protection doesn't work when you press LT. The only way I can get slide protection 2 work is to use tha strat pad way.

Does anybody know which player models were fixed with this 2nd patch update?
