In Season Progression

Can someone please explain how this works. I simmed a whole season and saw ZERO progression for any team.
Do you have to play a game for it to happen?

I think you do have to play a game for it to happen, I'm still trying to test it. If that is the case, I do not think it is a good thing. Because 99% of the games in dynasty aren't played, they are simulated.

No one can explain how it works yet. No one knows. There's lot's of speculation, but not one person has demonstrated any concrete evidence of anything.

You have to look at the roster during the season. There should be a +1 next to a few players' ratings. But only a few players should actually improve their OVRs. Here's a quote from Russ Kiniry about it:

I checked out a few rosters last night. Alabama's, Florida, Air Force, and Cincinnati and did not see a +1 anywhere. I will have to check more tonight.

People have been saying that they just flat out aren't seeing any in season progression. Like either EA lied or they released the wrong patch or something. I'm wondering if it's something the tuner set that has yet to be released will fix.

Ability - being able (it means that they CAN not WILL)
Slight - light in form or build; not stout or heavy; slender
During The Season - over the course of time

seems pretty straight forward to me.

And people have clearly stated they have not seen in-season progression. Not one person has reported seeing this. This is multiple people, multiple teams, over multiple years.

Thank you for the definitions though, I now have the ability to use ability in my vocabulary.

It sounds like it's only factored in for games you actually play. So, basically, it sounds like your team gets better (and maybe the teams you play against, for that one game) but all the games that are simmed have no effect.

It would of been great if they explained how the in-season progression points are accumulated. It does not make any sense for it to be a user team only additon that only works if you play the games

Yeah it they did decide to implement in-season progression like that, one has to think what were they thinking? This only helps us, not the cpu.

And in-season progression in past games worked whether you simmed or played and worked for every team, so for them to change it for the worst is odd.

When they said "In-season progession is back," I got the impression it would be the in-season progression we are use to, and well the in-season progession that makes sense.
