I have Madden 11 for PS3. I got patch 1.02 today and now, I can't enter any of the game modes. Whenever I try and play (exhibition, franchise, madden moments, mini games) the game either freezes or gets stuck on the load screen.

Has anyone else run into this problem?

Yes, twice. I deleted the patch the first time and tried again only to get the same results. It's like there are a few of us, but no one cares enough to start a dedicated thread for it and it gets quickly buried by those with the patch posting legitimate impressions. It's incredibly frustrating. So much so, actually, that I deleted the patch again and shelved the game until it's fixed. Fortunately for me, I work at an electronics store I just picked up NHL 11 off the shelf to hold me over until I can actually play the copy of Madden that I paid $60 for.

Here is what Ian said in the blog about a month ago.

Strategy Pad and Madden Moments Live would be in the first patch, this one. This is what he also said would be in it.

In that update we will also have numerous art, gameplay, and stability fixes included as well.

The patch at the end of September will have more defensive coverage fixes, broken tackle fixes, etc........

Hey, at least they delivered on time and delivered on what they said they would deliver for the first patch.

The issues with defense were more pressing than the strategy pad and breast cancer awareness month. As it is, the game is still basically unplayable online because the defense are dumber than stones and offline you cannot play on all madden because even if set to 0, the computer breaks way too many tackles.

Their priorities are backwards every year. This game goes back on the shelf until the next patch. I refuse to give them credit, ever since t hey secured that nfl liscence they have been putting out unfinished garbage.

Their slogan lately has been "if you see it on Sundays". Now, you can argue about all the stuff they're missing from that equation, but this is something you see in the NFL during October, so you should see it in Madden. And it's for a great cause. And it's not a political issue, nobody's pro-breast cancer. I have no idea how anybody can hate this. It adds so much authenticity to the game.

I don't see anybody complaining about the pink bats in The Show. In fact, I've seen it praised for it's authenticity.

Thats because the gameplay in the Show is phenominal, they are able to focus on small thing like. Madden has gameplay that is a mess, and an arcade slop fest. They need to focus on the game playing properly before they do this crap. How about giving us a defense that actually freaking works and runninbacks that dont break every tackle in the game, an owner mode that functions right as well.

Ok, I'm closing this guys. I think 36 pages is enough , half of them unconstructive... another mod will open this when they feel it's time, or I will revisit it

i played a game last night online. i had 3 ints and a ff before halftime. are you guys trying to blitz and cover one and one and get bad results?

I have two 360's my sons one is connected to xbox live, mine is not, I took the hard drive off mine and put it on his and downloaded the patch. I checked and it was loaded, transferred the hard drive back to mine and it wasn't there, I did it twice, can somebody explain to me why it didn't transfer? Thank you

I would say that the defensive fixes would take more time to fix. I don't want anything rushed and broken further as people are saying about the NCAA patch.

It's not about priorities.

Not only that, but it's standard operating procedure. The first patch normally is for stability fixes. As a bonus, we got numerous updates with uniform adjustments and new game modes. The second patch (this yr it's the 3rd) is normally used to swoop in and fix the larger issues.

Im on the 360 and still dont see the Breast Cancer Awareness Games....either in my chise, or in the main menu.

I know I got the patch, since I DL'ed it, and the option for the M10 audible controls are in my options menu now (it wasnt before.)

What gives? I got like a half patch.

I even tried clearing my cache and re-DL'ing it... but still no breast cancer awareness games..

Anyone else having this problem?

You need to go to Madden Moments Live and download that. Once you download Madden Moments Live, you need to go back to the dashboard and then reenter the game and Madden Moments Live should show up and BCA will show up in the play now area.

I was definitely expecting more from this patch, maybe more with #3.

No matter what tweaks and patches that are thrown at this title it will still fall short of anything resembling authentic. You basically see three different kinds of penalties, (sure wish there were defensive holding, illegal contact, personal fouls for late hits...all the penalties you would see on Sunday), the playbooks are so limited and dull, you can't shift formations, you can only motion a player in one direction (no yo-yo motion), and I could go on and on and on and on but it doesn't matter. Though the game is a tad enjoyable to play, it is still not worth the sticker price.

just played in a BCA game. Nice banner. Nice logo. Pink gloves. Pretty cool.
