The upgrade is complete, but you've probably noticed the forums are only showing posts up to about April 8. Posts made after that are still in the process of being moved over, and that should take another week or two. Feel free to start a new thread.
The site might feel a little slow while work continues. Engineers are staying on it through the night to get things moving faster again. Thanks for your patience.

I love plays, but it's just a shame we have to see isolated incidents. Totally understand why, but it would be great to have even just 5 minutes of gameplay broken down at different levels of difficulty, or just showing someone attempting to use an athletic squad like, say, Washington and just driving for dunks/layups and kick out jumpers all game long.
But I guess these are the things we need to wait 'til Oct. 5th for.

Also man I would just like to say thank you to ever single person who stopped by to say something about the video and show your appreciation. When its 3:30 am. and i have to be to my real job at 6 and I'm editing like nobody's business that is when I think about the guys who appreciate the work. Even if it doesn't scratch your particular itch
While everyone is getting excited I just want to caution you as I always do. The game is not perfect and as new as it is its still 2k. The stuff I am showing you however is real. After playing and capturing the Bulk of my 2k experience is represented in this videos. When I finish a game of 2k11 i am not focused on what video type of thing went wrong. I am thinking about my next matchup and what set's I should have used... You know strategy.. I have to believe that whatever else you may dislike about the game That one factor for most sim gamers overrides everything else.
and it is just flat FUN to play. Wether you know a lot of hoops or non at all you can find a level and setting that makes the game fun to play.
I was beaten several times on all star by better than 20 pts with no cheese no backdoors non of that nonsense. I am sure once I master the controls and such that won't happen regularly but just to show you the cpu on sim all star is no punk. And from my limited time it appears to play legitimate basketball against you.
I know each person wants to see certain things and I am trying to mix in as much as I can.
The next video if it's the one I'm thinking they will show. I have put a bit more emphasis on defense ( keeping in mind I'm supposed to be highlighting offense only)
As an FYI most of the clips and honestly I can't remember which ones but most are on Sim Pro level. The defense was tuff in a limited amount of time to highlight the offense on sim all star.
the cpu is just if not more effective with the plays as a user. If you can't stop something they will keep running it.
schedule wise the plan PENDING approvals is to release 10 straight week days 10 straight shows. Most of you know I have never attemted to release this many shows because of the work load. I am trying to stay in front of this train... LOL If I am able to and if the approvals stay steady every weekday for 10 days you should have a show.
NO GUARANTEES !
Hey Czar, with this heat you bringin just don't spontaneously combust, man! The president of Sim City, always on his grind! You are providing a major 2k stimulus package, Mr. President but what up with the healthcare plan, partnah!

Some 300+ replies in, I know I'm hella late but outstanding video. It's truly amazing how the court (and the game in general) has now appeared to have opened up all from improved playcalling and movement. My favorite part of the video by far was the display of speed differences between players. No way can Turkoglu stay with a player like Durant, and it's nice to see a mismatch like that reflected in the form of off-ball movement instead of in the form of iso's, and 1 on 1 play.
I'm going to be cross matching like crazy to hide deficiencies, substituting defensive liabilities out (and bringing them back in during late stages of a game if they are offensively inclined), taking different pursuit angles to try & get a read on a developing play, and taking advantage of my own mismatches, now that speed is being reflected in this aspect of the game. Simply excellent, and the play that was taken directly from synergy video and compared to this gameplay vid, just shows how deep they are taken this game in terms of authenticity. Another aspect of the playcalling that I liked from this video is the ability to call a play directly after an unsuccessful attempt all the while without sacrificing any of the urgency that the players move with after the initial play that was called; of course you will have to familiarize yourself with the quicker plays in the playbooks, but it beats calling out a desperation isolation play, or a pick & roll every time with 10 secs left on the shot clock. The branching, and the multiple options seems well done.
And team sets? Talk about chess being played on the court... That NBA 2K10 footage looks ancient in terms of movement when being compared to 2K11 (can't believe I tried to make that work .) The playcalling this year obviously will not be perfect (awareness, execution and look are all things that could be improved on in the feature), but its exponentially better than anything that we've seen from this series in this area. I'm going to seriously attempt to learn my team's playbook inside out so I don't even have to use the play diagram because it's worth it this year.
Sidenote/off topic (a bit): Look at how quick players are getting off jumpers without any shuffle of the feet. Right after a move is executed.
Great insightful video again. Can't believe there's more like it. I haven't looked forward to a b-ball game this much since I first seen Nash licking his fingers bringing up the ball at an early E3 event some years back. Time for an av switch....

Guys, just because Czar has the go ahead to release it at 5, doesn't mean that it's in his time schedule to do so. Let's keep that in mind. He also has a day job, so IF the new video doesn't come out at 5, then cut him some slack.
