Have the depth chart issues been fixed with the new patch?

I guess this is more for PS3 users, since the 360 just got the update. I have read threads but have yet to find a definitive answer. If there is one, steer me in that direction.

I know the the patch details really didn't say anything about it. Did anyone notice if the depth charts are still broken in dynasty mode?

Re: Have the depth chart issues been fixed with the new patch?

(slightly off topic here) you know, i was thinking about this the other day, i wonder if this depth chart issue is whats making recruiting so much harder this year.

If Ohio State recruits with no regard to their existing depth chart, and recruits are signing with no regard to the fact that they'll be buried at 7th, then every good school always takes the best, leaving those of us with holes but not necesarily the best team out to dry.

Whereas a school should be passing on a guy or 2 at a position because they dont have that big of a need that year.

(On topic) To answer your question, i have no idea. Wait, that really didnt answer it. Sorry.

Yea, I haven't seen anyone mention anything concrete about it. Tell you what, if everyone's still ignoring this issue by the time I get home from work, I'll hook up to the net, get the patch and tuner and I'll check it out.

If you haven't found out in a couple of hours I'll let you know.

You have guys with AWR's at weird positions, but it's 80 times better as before..

EXP: I saw a WR as the backup kicker on Air Force, but he was very good ratings to be a K

You just scared me with that one man. If you observed that, chances are the rest of that **** is still the same.

I remember when I first found out about the depth charts. That was the exact reason I started looking at the depth (when I saw a WR punting the ball in the game). Thats when I started seeing all the ****ery, lol.

You will see it, but it seems better just from the start up rosters, but I can't say anything about it past season 1 yet

Umm...considering that teams only have 1 Kicker and 1 Punter most of the time and there are 3 spots on the depth chart for Kickers and Punters, someone has to be in that third spot and it's always gonna be whoever has the highest KPW and KAC on your team that isn't a Kicker/Punter.

There are a lot of players who are atheletes that are not listed that way. There are 1* FS's that will be a 70 OVR qb. There are TE's and HB's who might have a leg on them.

There are a ton of these diamonds in the rough out there. It's the same as schools having minimal interest for Pat White as a QB and project them as a WR but he man still has a gun. These guys exist in this game as well. I have no problem with a backup WR at punter if he has a leg. Or having a skill player as my 3rd string QB as long as he has a gun.

The main one I have an issue with is fb's and te's playing OL and SS on DL. As long as the guy is physically the right size for the position I like seeing the CPU maximize the talent on the roster. But when the put a 199lb SS and DT it gets annoying.

I agree. For example, Wyoming, the guy who kicks off is also our starting line backer and kickoff returner. Some guy we recruited out of Germany. He's a beast.

Has there been any statements from Russ or Ben or anyone else at EA Sports about this issue?

                        Very frustrating

I agree. Also alot of guys play both sides of the ball in high school. I recruited a hb he is also my back up kicker with a nice leg on him.

Owen Marecic is Stanford's starting linebacker. He is an elite fullback. And he is on a major conference school.
Tampa Bay Buccaneers - Oakland Athletics - Houston Astros - New York Knicks.
I ama HUGE fight fan. My favorite fighters include Felix Sturm, Jose Luis Castillo, and John Ruiz.
