Perfect Game

I know there are people out there that have been saying that pitching is too easy on the default difficulty, but it's still too early for me to tell.

However, I just pitched a perfect game (in franchise, so no million dollars for me). Nick Blackburn went 9 perfect against the Yankees in a 8-0 Twins win.

If you don't believe me (which I'm sure many won't), just look at my gamertag, Gr1mZ4ck, under MLB 2K10, I have earned the achievement "One Man Show --- Throw a Perfect Game or a No-Hitter on Pro or higher in a 9 inning game, in a non-simulated game."

I guess this would support the pitching is too easy argument, considering this was only my 4th full game pitched.

Has anybody else earned this achievement?

I would try, but I lack a few of the requirements (like any sort of video capturing device).

Besides that I probably will play 1,000 more games and not get close to it again.

Congrats from a Cards fan!!! Quite a feat when you think of it. 4th time out and to do that. Is it boring now or what other accomplishments haven't you mentioned that are respectable? Great job again!!

the last perfect game in threw in 2k was way back in 2k6 a 21 strike out performance by Kerry Wood

Congrats!!

I got my perfect game against Colorado using Jaime Garcia in Franchise mode.

Today I threw a combined no- hitter against the Braves using Carpenter and 3 others.

I still have yet to throw a no hitter. The only no hitter I've been able to pitch in the 2K series was an 18 strikeout perfecto by Phil Hughes (NYY) in MLB 2K8. At the minor league complex Legends Field (now Steinbrenner Field) no less.

I threw one with Roy Oswalt on the Astros. The next game I almost had one thrown on me, but I broke it up in the top of the 8th!

Only perfect game I have ever thrown (at least against the CPU in something that was on some level of competitiveness) was with Randy Johnson in Triple Play 2001. I believe the key was to throw a bunch of tight sliders up and in to the batters haha.

I once threw one with Roger Clemens on the Astros. I don't know if there should be an asterisk by it or not though. He was good in video games.

Closest I have come is perfect through 7 with Tim Hudson of the Braves, but then the Rockies got a hit.

Haven't played this game in super long, might start up a 52 game franchise with my Cleveland Indians on All-Star. I wond how many games of of first I will be in September?
