Has anyone seen the CPU fair catch (other than touchbacks)?

Just like the title says: Has anyone ever seen the CPU fair catch? The blocking on punt returns is horrible and yet the CPU will sit there and take a hit from someone barreling at them every time and about 1/3 of the time, it's a fumble which completely changes the game. Only time I see fair catches are when it's gonna be a touchback and the returner runs away from the endzone after calling a fair catch.

This rarely happens in real college football. In fact, in reality returners don't return that much at all if they think they're gonna take a big hit so what gives? Why didn't EA give returners any sort of fair catch logic?

They fair catch punts against me all the time.

I always see a touchback on punts.

Same here. The key for me is to angle the punt away from the returner and then get my gunner around the blocker. With higher punts and a good move around the blocker, it'll often result in a fair catch. The only thing is I have a hard time seeing the guy make the fair catch signal. So I've been called for interference a couple of times.

Sometimes it's not visible b/c it's called late. The returner catches the ball before the fair catch signal can be made.

Okay, well, I watch a lot of CPU vs CPU games and with regular punts and I've never seen the CPU fair catch unless it's a touchback or a shanked punt.

It's ridiculous and it's pissing me off since they always take a hit and it makes too many fumbles happen where the other team can easily pick up the ball and take it in for a score.

I don't watch any CPU vs CPU games, but in my offline dynasty the computer fair catches pretty regularly. Less so now that I have a punter with a nuclear-powered leg, but still. I've also not seen that many fumbles off of punts - if anything it's the opposite: the computer is really good at breaking the first tackle (even though I have a really good tackler at gunner - pisses me off!) and getting 5+ cheap yards.

I see the cpu fair catch against me a great amount of time. Maybe it's only an issue for cpu vs cpu games. I don't really know because I never watch cpu vs cpu games. I only play the games and I have not issue seeing the cpu fair catch.

Just had Washington State fair catch on me late in the 4th in a battle for the Apple Cup.

When i'm bearing down on them they fair catch more often than not.
