who uses PLAYER LOCK?
Just trying to see who uses player lock. This is the only way I play and the people I prefer to play with all use the player lock feature. Anyone else???Tags: None -

Re: who uses PLAYER LOCK?
Im a little surprised that this board of hard core players really doesn't use this feature more. the simulation you get without using every player is completely different then what you get by controlling the whole team..Comment

Re: who uses PLAYER LOCK?
I think it's just a preference thing really. I'd rather control the entire team and make every decision, but that's just me.
Whatever floats your boat.

Of course it's a preference. Im just saying it's odd to me that you would consider the ability to make all the choices you make as a user so key in the simulation. Like it's no surprise to me that guys who play that way have all kinds of problems getting the game to balance out, or they see all these inherent flaws of which many are user inputed. It's just less simulation, and more interactive. thats cool tho. Im just surprised.Comment

I don't have player lock on, but I only use one player when I'm on defense.

Re: who uses PLAYER LOCK?
couldnt do it for an entire game. Offensively or defensively. Part of becoming great is putting your own spin to the teams you play with. If I played with the warriors who are practically terrible on defense. Its no way Im leavin it up to the cpu to defend down low. Im a point guard (was in high school and AAU that is lol time flies) so if I player lock Im running the show.
Theres no way you can become great when you're letting the computer do it all for you. Thats how I look at it, you're just running around and hopin to get the ball. Or calling for it after you run around make believe screens. Because 2k11 isnt out yet and the AI on 10 was terrible when you played off ball aka My player.
But I play association mainly with 12 minute quarters on Hall Of Fame tho.
Question to all who do this:
What teams do you pick while you do this and do you have a created player?
And how does it translate when you're playing other people? Like a friend that comes to ya crib that doesnt use player lock, how do you do in those games?Xbox: got1coach313
All I play is 2k

Re: who uses PLAYER LOCK?
It's the only way to get the real experience of playing sports. I've been doing it this way since TV Sports Basketball back in 1989. Create yourself, do player-lock and beat the best of the best.
Problem is, I think player-lock is a very overlooked feature so the developers don't put a lot of work into the AI and stats to work with player-lock. We have to put forth a lot of effort in order to get the games to play right for our style of play.Comment
