HOW DID THIS GUY DO THIS!?!?!?
I played prob the cheapest madden player ever with the plays he ran. There was one where his guy was running across the field and i saw that he became that WR and like changed his route while he was doing it and made him streak up. DURING THE PLAY HE ROLL OUT BECAME THE WR, CHANGED HIS ROUTE TO A STREAK WHERE NO COVERAGE WAS AND THAN BECAME THE QB AGAIN AND THREW IT TO HIM. HOW?????!Tags: None -

Re: HOW DID THIS GUY DO THIS!?!?!?

Re: HOW DID THIS GUY DO THIS!?!?!?
I thought I was seeing things when it happened to me twice! I have only seen it from super cheesers who got scared on 4th down in 4th quarter. Everyone is covered with no qb pressure and all of the sudden the running back starts zig zagging around and take off for the endzone and then switch back to the qb and throw it to him. I LOST BECAUSE OF THIS TWICE!Comment

Re: HOW DID THIS GUY DO THIS!?!?!?
I've not done this, but if you really can do that, I don't think it's cheap. Heck, if a play breaks down in real life receivers have to improvise to extend the play and make a play on it. Nothing wrong, imo, with being able to help the receivers out with that instead of relying on CPU AI.Comment

playmaker is in apparently. not sure how he did it with a WR down the field, but it's in."I hope that someday we will be able to put way our fears and prejudices and just laugh at people." Jack HandyComment

Re: HOW DID THIS GUY DO THIS!?!?!?
Unfortunately, some of my game copies were lost in my move to Detroit so I can't confirm this but the playmaker "redirect receiver" function has been on NG systems for a while. At least as far back as '09, possibly as far back as '07.
It's allowed and it's not cheap. It's intended to be in the game as a tool for ALL OF US, should we choose to utilize it. Some of us have been defending this little used tactic for years. Little used because it is little known and it comes with tactical drawbacks. One person's not knowing how to do it doesn't make it cheap for those that do.I've not done this, but if you really can do that, I don't think it's cheap. Because the QB must move closer to his receiver to redirect him you can send pressure from the side of the rollout and prevent your opponent the opportunity to redirect his receiver before pressure reaches him...
You can also use the Contain assignment to prevent the QB from getting to the edge to redirect the receiver.
Lastly, use man coverage to prevent the WR from getting to an open area of the field uncovered.
Mixing pressure an coverage can often create turnover opportunities as well.
Hope this helps...

Re: HOW DID THIS GUY DO THIS!?!?!?
That is indeed the playmaker feature, and here is how you do it:
Warning : this will make you a MUCH better player.
When rushed, or scrambling, use the left trigger (LT or L2) and your RIGHT Analog stick. Move the stick in the direction of your WR that you want to manipulate, and then point it in the direction you want him to change his route.
A blue circle will appear under him and he will immediately change direction.Comment
