You could attempt the same thing in Live 10, but the results weren't consistent with your input (Particularly with layup solutions). Basically, in Live 10 you could trigger a layup from the free throw area (and might get a hop step, euro step or spin), whereas in Elite you can choose to specifically hop step, the direction, and afterwards choose to attempt a layup to either side or dunk. Same with the dribble moves.
