Re: NBA 2K11 Demo Available Now, Impressions and Discussion Here (360,PS3)
Your demo had commentary? Hmmmmm...The demo didn't quite do it for me. After a dozen quarters it feels all too familiar. There were some ridiculously cool moments (loving soming of the passes out of dunks and gathers) but as I play more, the cool moments that wowed me the first time start to become old. All the exciting plays get repeated and start to look and feel stale. Hopefully this is a result of limited teams in the demo?
Visuals seem tight... until the camera pans in during post whistle (where Bynum appears to be father time, Artest is as creepy looking as you can get and the facial gestures seem to stretch and break everyones face). Presentation is well done with good commentary and sharp overlays. The ball is strange looking though as it appears to be glowing which keeps catching my eye in a bad way (maybe it is stadium specific) ?
Still bad sliding/twitching/popping during locomotion but show me a basketball game without it. Still suction and unresponsiveness during jostles/collisions but it seems improved.
All-in-all, it plays alright but I was hoping for a something big (maybe as big as the cover boy

Re: NBA 2K11 Demo Available Now, Impressions and Discussion Here (360,PS3)
Dude, it's clear you know very little about porting software from one platform to another. The mods said kill the console war crap, so lets do that. Stick to the demo and don't compare it any other game excepted older versions of itself.dude really? every game is going to prot to the 360 better because it's like playing tic tac toe that's how easily it ports to the 360, porting to a ps3 is like figuring out the matrix the coding is complex as hell. but when there is a ps3 exclusive well made title it looks flawless on the ps3. good sides to both. this particular 2K game is alays better on the 360 always bums me out because the bball titles are my favorite titles of the year.Comment

I said this many times, 2K copied a lot of stuff from live 10 probably becuase that mike dude switched over from live to 2k or something~Comment

haha. My favorite type of commentary. Muted, just like when I watch on TV
Now if only there was a way to turn off announcers and keep arena noise during the real thing...Comment

Midair collision ftw. I would hope you don't get an injury ALL of the time on that one though.Man from these videos you guys are posting it's crazy some of the offensive higlights that have been occurring in our short time with the demo but what i happened to come across amazed me, watch what happens to rondo when he drives the ball...
sorry guys i dont know the coding to have the video show up right there
It's kind of weird though how he wasn't even slightlyyy hurt, from the height he fell straight on his back i'd assume a little pain is acceptable lol.Comment

Ya I wouldn't be surprised, Mike Wang bringing in what he had given to Live and putting it in 2k and adding on to it. I used to think 2k player movement was a little stiff compared to Live, but now this 2k11 demo is feeling more and more like it.
Ron Artest shoots similar to how Artest shoots in Live 2010.
If you try to drive the ball with a big man in 2k11 and there's a bump, the big guy will lose the ball like in Live. I kept doing this and the ball kept going off the Celtics lol.
but ya just like others are pointing out as well, 2K11 feels like the best of both worlds.Last edited by KeepItReal420; 09-15-2010, 02:10 AM.Comment

How do you switch the type of pick you're calling for? I've noticed an icon above the pick setter's head so I'm guessing there's a button to change to a pick n fade or pick n pop?
Also...LOVING that all those money passes from years past are no longer there. I mean damn, even with the play passing lanes slider at 100, you still wouldn't really see guys as active in the passing lanes and on passes as they are in this game. I love it.Originally posted by bradtxmaleI like 6 inches. Its not too thin and not too thick. You get the support your body needs.

I wasn't feeling it as much as most of you guys are. Some of that may have to do with the camera view, as I hate the broadcast view.Originally posted by BlueNGoldI feel weird for liking a post about exposed penises.Comment

Player movement def better and new control isomotion, but same game as the last two years it sure feels like to me otherwise. I expected more from all day 360 hype, when I got the ps3 version I booted up and I was a little dissapointed honestly.Comment

Re: NBA 2K11 Demo Available Now, Impressions and Discussion Here (360,PS3)
I have to say I love the 2-hand dunk animations and hanging on the rim. I just crossed over Ray Allen and went for the 2 hand jam and teabagged Jermaine O'neal.
I know the difficulty is on pro, so I'm assuming scoring in the paint will be a lot more difficult once this is on hall of fame. Otherwise it's going to be a cheese fest for whoever picks Miami because Wade and Lebron are going to be scoring at will.Comment
