Re: the ball goes into the crowd
Really? I haven't seen it go into the crowd. That's something I've wanted, and put on wishlists each year, to have the ball go into the crowd. Always got the response that it's hard to implement, how do you get the ball back on the court, etc.
Here's one instance when warping of the ball is perfectly fine for me.What we know so far about NBA 2K14 - FAQ/QA:

Do the refs pick the ball up from the stands or the ball warps (just like Kyoto mentioned)?Follow me on Twitter: @domidomdomz

That's an instance where it's totally justified to warp the ball into the hands of the players/refs.What we know so far about NBA 2K14 - FAQ/QA:

Re: the ball goes into the crowd
Anyway, to the guys who've seen it, how's the crowd reaction when the ball goes through them? Did they look at the ball? or just ignored it? Just curious...Follow me on Twitter: @domidomdomz

Re: the ball goes into the crowd
ive seen the ball go into the crowd after a failed alley oop. the camera cuts to the bench or a players face then the ref magically has the ball once it cuts back to the action.Comment

Re: the ball goes into the crowd
its better than having an invisible wall though in the future the crowd should react like in MLB THE SHOW whenever a ball or player ends up in the crowd....that would be a nice little thing..Comment

Re: the ball goes into the crowd
Like a lot of things, I'm just pumped to see these guys willing to take the steps and get the ball rolling, so to speak. Swatting the ball into the crowd is ten times better than swatting the ball against that weird invisible wall-o-death. Product: upgrade!Last edited by VDusen04; 09-15-2010, 10:15 AM.Comment

And yes, it does warp back to the court and I'd rather they do that than have some have to go get it.Comment

Re: the ball goes into the crowd
I saw a youtube video of the demo yesterday, where I think it was Rondo who tipped the ball out of Fisher's hands one time, and the ball went out and jump on the mid-court sideline counter (desk) and kept rolling into the front row...My Specs:

Pretty cool new feature but I bet it looks weird and glitchy.Greatest Franchise Ever

Re: the ball goes into the crowd
Oh well. That would have been a great opportunity to have an angry fan and disgruntled ref throwing the ball back and forth to each other followed by the fan getting tossed.EA and 2k have the unfortunate task of trying to balance on a tightrope of fun and sim while trying not to fall 10,000 feet to their death. Instead of a safety net waiting down below there will just be angry customers quick to move out of the way and talk of their failure.Comment
